I was listening to a podcast about the Golden State Killer recently. He was known to stand next to his victims' windows and watch them many times before actually going into their houses and killing/raping them, but whenever the police were called about a suspicious guy standing outside a teen girl's window, they shrugged it off because it was just a "peeping tom." Once "peeping" escalated to serial rape and murder, he had gotten enough practice from his earlier activities that he could avoid capture.

The point is, when you see someone doing creepy shit (maybe like trying on dresses in women's dressing rooms with a visible erection), it can be dangerous to shrug and dismiss the perpetrator as a weirdo who at least isn't hurting anyone. Most of the guys featured here have already shown themselves willing to invade women's spaces, steal their mothers' and sisters' clothes, and pressure strangers and loved ones to lie to their faces about their visible sex. If they see that their actions are accepted, they'll go a step further. And then another step further. Maybe none of them are the next GSK, but they are certainly going in a concerning direction.

I guess that's why I laugh more at men in frilly clothes than women who claim to have spiritual penises. TBH, a lot of these guys scare the shit out of me, and making fun of how pathetic and ugly they are is my solace. I also think there's something inherently comical about seeing a jacked-up linebacker trick himself into believing that lipstick and lingerie can make other people see him as a dainty princess.
