Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

Irlens Syndrome is the only woo eye diagnosis I've heard of. It was made up to shill coloured eyeglass lenses and falsely claim they had a bunch of different vague health benefits. Thank you sincerely for your important work spreading Morgellons Disease awareness. :julay:
I thought about Irlen but it just doesn't match up. She claims this illegal-to-diagnose condition causes extreme watery, itchy eyes, incapacitating pain, and light sensitivity and is usually a medical emergency that requires an ambulance, but is not an allergy or a migraine. If any medfags can think of something this idiot thinks she has based on that let us know because the curiosity is killing me.

Just some more removed comments from the IF post (and the one KFS included in her post). I was hoping there'd be more.

Official response from MBIr about what happened. Akolada insists this policy of discussing permanent bans for established users didn't exist until now. I'm inclined to believe her. (comments are just ass-kissing the current mods for keeping the peace)

The way that post is written is so funny, as if they just left a job at a company they worked in or something. Imagine Null posting that kind of thing here lol.

I have seen those symptoms altogether but its something that happens to welders. It's like sunburn on your eyeballs and apparently feels like you have glass in your eyes. It's really awful, and it lasts a few days but it's not a condition it's from not wearing a welding mask and as far as I know it's not caused by debris getting into your eyes when welding it's the actual heat/light.

Does this MBI guy actually have an MD btw?
I've gone back and forth over this a few times. Everything I see points to her at least having insider knowledge of how med school works and she's active in anesthesiology-related subs. I have no reason to doubt that she's actually a doctor at this point.

There's nothing that's literally illegal to diagnose or treat.

If she saw an ophthalmologist then they'd screen out the obvious causes like keratoconus. Which happens.

And then you'd go through genetic screening to see if you had Sjogren's or Alstrom's or Graves or someshit. She's just lying.

I'm saving all the recent threads and will periodically be plugging them into removeddit for awhile lol. I love watching subreddits cannabalize. That it's IF is just icing on my schadenfreude cake
been virtually gone from IF since jaq kicked the bucket - but this was a lovely, beautiful shit show to read through. also schadenfreude cake made me laugh out loud.

Yeah I know nothing's actually illegal to diagnose but I have a feeling that was just her being exceptional. She later explained that the reason she couldn't get diagnosed is it's so rare no one in her state (Minnesota) can diagnose it, she has to go to a specialist in another state. There used to be someone in Minnesota but they retired. She called around to several doctors asking about this disorder in specific and has printouts she brings to doctors. Suggests to me that she is going after a specific woo diagnosis or an extremely rare disease she doesn't understand, not just whole cloth making it up.

sjogren's was another one I thought of because it's popular in the sickstagram club.

@Bendwithitrockwithit is a malingering fool. She wiped out Lyme (by deleting her IG posts about Lyme and changing her name) and reinvented herself as an EDS account. Just like Aubrey, only more successful.

That was kind of my line of thought too, she really doesn't have many IG posts but all this stuff about lyme and Nutcracker bullshit is tucked away in her story highlights where not many people will notice it.

On a related note, I've been trying to poke into @bendwithitrockwithit Dani Nicole, Ally's friend, but I can't find shit on her past her IG and Youtube (she only has one video left up on there, the rest are all private). She's got a looooong list of claims that she doesn't talk about until you look at her IG highlights- Chronic Lyme that she claims was diagnosed at 4 (!), Nutcracker Syndrome (a weird renal blood supply thing?), Intracranial Hypertension, demyelinating neuropathy, MALS, MCAS, hEDS, POTS. She has a port, gets saline at least 3-4 times a week, IVIG, IV benny.... I really can't get a read on her. I can't decide if she's just genuinely really fucked up and OTT about it or fakey faking. Just took a bunch of screenshots....

Yes definitely a munchie. She got a physical therapy degree (archive sites are being funky for me right now so sorry for some direct links) which seems like it would be pretty difficult with her laundry list of illnesses. Her mom set up a GFM-esque fundraiser for her on the Global Lyme Alliance page.

She writes a lot of articles about how she's such a badass chronic illness warrior queen:
One for Mightywell
A couple for lyme disease sites
One for Lemonsnlyme's blog
A piece for Thought Catalog

Blog nazi carried on the grand tradition of contacting me with gossip the minute she was betrayed by IF mods. First off she reads here. Hey, akolada.

What happened was one of the mods (didn't specify but lol) wanted her to give second chances to people who were long-time posters and friends of the mod but hand out bans indiscriminately for minor infractions otherwise. She wanted to be fair and impartial and say a broken rule is a broken rule, etc. (if anyone hadn't noticed she had also been giving warnings for blogging and giving people the opportunity to remove the powerlevels and repost their comments, which is cool. She seemed to really want to make the joint suck less.) Mod also wanted to control what other subreddits she was allowed to post in. In retaliation, she unbanned every single poster they had ever banned and told them to have fun deciding which ones deserve a second chance. Which is absolutely magnificent and I might be in love.

So now PW, MBI, and the new mid had to manually reinstate all those bans. In the meantime:
TruthPixie was added to and apparently subsequently removed from the mod team
someone "approved" kittenbread as a topic. This is the poster that the burger spergers thought was kittenbread.
a bunch of losers came out of the woodwork to cry about boollying.

Edit:
have some receipts from Akolada

Edit 2: I was wrong u/thetruthpixie is still part of the mod team. For some reason she wasn't showing up when I looked earlier. Probably a problem on my end.
What an amazing person. Just imagine the scrambling to reblock 1000s ☕
Damn I love a good dumpster fire, and IF is gearing up to be a good one. Side note, we know PW with her repeated sepsis is a munchie...am I the only one who suspects MBIresearch is also a munchie?
Who knows. She hangs out in a bad crowd though haha

Be careful with your woo eye. Shill pink contacts so they can claim terminal pink eye.

Me too lol

The comment thread that started the IF fallout this particular time, from a post discussing why JanJan wasn't vlogging. Dr.QMBsBankAccount is one of the original posters from the LCF days.

The story from Akolada is that she deleted the first comment and gave that warning, shit blew over for two days, then QMB came back with... this chimpout. Ako assumed she was a troll and perma-banned her. MBI retroactively created a rule that established members got more consideration before a ban and asked Ako to unban QMB as a favor to MBI. Ako unbanned QMB... and everyone else.

Yeah it's a petty slap fight but it's our petty slap fight.

Yeah that's a full blown munchie right there. Her mother setting up a gofuckme is advanced level munch.

Only one doctor in MN is BRAVE ENOUGH to BUCK THE SYSTEM and diagnose it!

Yeah this is an insane red flag. Most munchies self-diagnose but they name the disorder they think they have. Has she?

Not that I've seen. She stopped mentioning it quite a while ago. It suddenly came back when she realized framing it as an allergic crisis could get her IV benny and one step closer to her precious port.

Hahaha sooooooo petty. And I'm so for it.

Sarah-Jean is back to her mysterious nosebleeds.

What a mystery! But as luck would have it, someone posted an article that may hold the key in the Kelly Ronahan thread this morning.

Her last two videos were not interesting btw, one about how she found and additionally stressed out a turtle that had been hit by a car then eventually gave it to a rehabber and about how she basically doesn't know how to cook without fake meat, meaning her dad is paying for expensive highly processes fake meat products for her for every meal. Good lord. The only thing noteworthy is she admit she isn't taking care of her peripheral IV because it's lost its shine. But she'll def take care of a port!

I watched one where she was going through her refrigerator (she won't even allow her dad's food touch her food (that he buys). Anyway, she stated that she bought the wrong something or other and that it was made with animal products of some sort and instead of saying she will let her dad eat it she said "I'm going to ask a friend if she wants it."

I commented on that basically calling her out for not offering it to the man who provided the cash to purchase it and I'm pretty sure she blocked me from her channel. lol.
