They probably mostly tried to destroy Liefeld because he tried to draw women like women. In clownworld comics that's a felony where the punishment is like all infractions: ending your career in a cowardly internet mob.

So they're kind of like the Dark Judges, only completely farcical and sad.

Yeah, back in X-Men #1 Bobby’s lack of enthusiasm for Jean largely stemmed from the fact that he was substantially younger than his fellows. At a time in ones life when small differences in age are amplified. The other X-Men were 16-17. Bobby was somewhere around 14 or 15.

I’ve given some of Sina Graces Iceman books to a gay couple I know. Just to get an opinion. They found them both horrifying and unintentionally hilarious in all the wrong ways.

Was this the callout EVS was making videos about like last week or did he go off on another rant? And Rob is right anyway, DC Vertigo is shit, it's so shit that it died in a fucking year after being revamped. There's no defending that.

Forgot about this happening since I've been following the Weeb Wars shit, but does anyone happen to know what happened with Donal and Nasser? Nasser dropped out of the comics game and is selling his half of Brutas the Badass. Don't know what he's asking for it, but Donal won't pay it, but I'm willing to bet whatever Nasser is asking for is actually too high. The first book isn't even out yet.

If anything, you're correct that Hank is a much better candidate for "Guess Which Founding X-Man is Gay?!" than Bobby was. Bobby had practically thrown himself at various women over the years, such as Polaris, Opal Tanaka, Darkstar, and his fellow Defenders teammate Cloud (in fact, when Cloud swapped genders to pursue Moondragon, Bobby rejected Cloud, which is ironic since both Iceman and Moondragon are both gay now). Bobby's attraction to women felt genuine, while Hank's affections for women always seemed halfhearted, even with Trish Tilby, the longest relationship McCoy had. Hank seems waaay more happy and himself whenever he's hanging with Wonder Man and getting all handsy with Simon.

I don't follow the infighting drama that closely. I just get bits and pieces of what's going on, usually when the fighting is already at an 11.

Also, adults tattle to me on other adults and ask me to fix it. But I'm used to that. (see Mark Waid "FIX THIS NOW..." etc)

Here's my perspective on this. Nasser is a cool exceptional kid who stands up for himself at all times. Even though he's only in his early 20's, something in him isn't wired properly to know when to quit. The other side of that is that he doesn't know when he's being annoying, or a bully, or crossing a line.

The good part of that is that he's persistent to a fault, so if that comes with thick skin, he's never going to quit submitting, proposing and getting his work out there. After weeks of asking, I let Nasser come on my show to sell his comic. In short order, he baffled Cecil by flatly telling him that he didn't think Cecil was funny. And that made Nasser an instant e-celeb.

The warm, family atmosphere of ComicsGate prompted Donal Delay to do something kinda dumb: He entered into a longterm working partnership with Nasser, complete with an agreed 50% of the property for Nasser. Fuzzy terms past that. But this was, in my opinion, insane. Donal created this character by himself and was being incredibly kind and generous to this kid, who frankly is an untested, inexperienced young talent with a penchant for deliberately making squeaky chair noises during livestreams to annoy us.

Inevitably, there's a falling out. I don't know what prompted it, and I don't know who did what to whom, but I'm getting all of this static from both sides, crying about each other. I ignore it.

Nasser calls me up and I talk to him about how he doesn't feel like he's respected and he's just a joke to ComicsGate.

Meanwhile, Nasser added this "cherries" icon to his Twitter handle, which I'm told means something about hating me and ComicsGate. (I still have no idea what that's about, don't care.)

Somewhere around here Donal tells Nasser they aren't working together anymore.

Nasser retaliates by making a one hour video bashing Donal as a liar and a thief, saying some rather cruel things about That Umbrella Guy and Yellow Flash, and announcing he's "leaving ComicsGate."

Then he shows up on my ComicsGate Live show on the panel, and lurks silently while I try to promote some new creators. Yellow Flash pops up suddenly and tears into him. I ask both to leave.

Nasser pulls down the video and replaces it with a two minute video resigning from the entire Comic Industry.

Bullshit erupts on Twitter and I ask Nasser, due to his recent behavior, to stop @ing me in all of this, and remove himself from my mentions.

A few days pass, and Nasser pulls a rather brilliant and evil troll on Donal. He offers to sell his half of Brutas The Badass to whomever is buying. Jon Del Arroz is interested.

I must admit, I laughed.

Donal asked me in private if I'd buy it.

No.


That's all I know. There are big holes missing from the story, but that's the Nasser Saga from my POV, which, fair to say, I didn't pay much attention to. Vaya Con Dios.

Edit: Well Malin railed on Nasser pretty hard and made him bail out of the call. That was fun and solved nothing
