I just noticed he wore that sweatshirt on the day of infamy. I wonder what 18 year old Chris would think about his present self.
Good Lord, the feels are indescribable.

just like chris
I'm reading this comment right after looking at the "enema photo"...
Uggggghhhh.....

Anyways, looking at all these unsexy selfies makes me wonder if Chris thinks of himself as a curvaceous, beautiful lady just like how he used to envision himself as a muscular, manly man.

It's amazing how fat Chris looks in that picture with the Manchester sweater and the OJ Simpson gloves, when there are other pictures taken around the same time where he was noticeably thinner. Chris looked to be roughly the same weight he does now.
I'm also surprised the Manchester sweater isn't in tatters now, and the decals haven't worn right off. Maybe it just looks better in this video than it does in real life (even though it turned grey over the years). When it wears out to the point where even Chris wouldn't wear it anymore, do you think he would go back to Manchester high and order another one? Can allumni even do that?

You can buy high school shirts, stickers, coffee mugs , etc. in most groceries and pharmacies near the school in question.

Not really... sometimes you can find stuff if the school is extremely visible in the public eye, but it's not really all that common to find a ton of high school paraphernalia in stories in any of the stores around Virginia. Even the school I used to attend (Thomas Dale) didn't have merchandise in the local stores and they're fairly well known in the area. Most of the time the only place to really get these is from a Goodwill, from the school itself, or during a school event (usually sports).

It's possible that he could have purchased a new sweatshirt from somewhere, but odds are that this is either the same sweatshirt all stretched out or this is probably one that Barb bought for herself.

The decals would only degrade when exposed to high temperatures, like the inside of a washing machine. Let that sink in.

This is what Chris believes.

When I see the old picture, my thought is "that is a goofy looking guy who clearly doesn't give a shit how he dresses." In a stranger, I would find that type of cluelessness almost endearing. How can I criticize a guys fashion choice when he hasn't really made the choice, but just put on the first thing he found and/or put comfort above everything else?

Now it is clear he puts thought into his outfits. And yet he comes out with the same general theme of "goofy". He reminds me of people who spend 20 minutes sculpting their hair so it looks like they have bedhead. Except that he doesn't want to look like he has bedhead.

A few years ago, someone on the forum went to a convention dressed as the classic Chris, and he said everyone he came across avoided him like the plague (Unfortunately, the thread was deleted for no reason by some killjoy). It was an interesting experiment. It's amazing that he's been dressing all this time in a way that would make people avoid him, and he doesn't even notice. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be that socially clueless.

Chris also haunts thrift shops. You can always find merchandise from the local high schools at a thrift shop if you look hard enough. I've even found a tee-shirt from my husband's old high school, and that's in a tiny town two counties over and more than a hundred miles away!

I recall the high school I went to does peddle it's wares at a few places. I've seen Whitmer sweatshirts and tees at Dollar General for instance. I'm sure the school district's budget plays into that.
