I'm here because i was reading the thread as I support vic then saw a conversation about someone i know, and thought whynot explain her circumstance so y'all can be better thn the kickviccrowd

Whether you're a contractor or employee is generally a complex, multi factor analysis, and has to do with in what context the issue is being contested, because slithery people claim slithery self-serving things and just whether or not you have a contract or not is not determinative.

On the good side it's the kind of complex, factual issue that requires a trier of fact, that is, a judge or jury, to decide after an actual trial rather than just be disposed of via summary judgment.

Also let's not forget the cherry on top: choice of language. "Predator" is 100% intended to invoke imagery of child rapists especially in this context, even though the word doesn't explicitly say that. It's like "assault weapon". You can get people lie FOR you simply by relaying the similar sounding word or phrase to them without you being personally culpable of saying the word you WANT to say.

Just as a fun reminder: Funi won't even admit they fired him FOR anything, and that their tweets were not intended to imply or state he had harassed anyone, sexually or otherwise. So it's kinda hard to argue there's an authoritative source for the predator claim.

In closing, someone else said it earlier: whatever her experiences may have been, they don't obviate current exceptionalism. And boy oh boy is that exceptionalism strong.

If she's drunk then she would be committing an offence as she is underage,anyone buying her drinks would also be responsible for breaking the law. She can legally consent at 16 but if she wanted to make her own complaint that she was taken advantage of or forced to do something while unable to consent due to being inebriated. If she wasn't too drunk to consent then nothing about it is illegal and they were just cock blocking.

Edit: I am probably completely wrong unless this was in Northern Ireland.
