I didn’t follow this thread closely until this week so I think I’m in the dark about his parents. That said, it sounds a lot like his mom is doing the hysterical suburban housewife shit like the mom in Ordinary People and is embarrassed by her spawn.
And definitely obvious that the redacted ailment is a certain type I won’t mention here - but I’d be curious what kind (if any) it is. It would be even more wild if it existed but was benign and just used as a handy excuse

Joking aside, it's worth noting that Jonathan's particular level of dysfunction is rarely possible in a vacuum. People with his flavor of self-serving egotism get that because it's been nurtured into him.
His mother is likely one of those typical overly affectionate, overly permissive parents who told him every day how very special he is and let him get away with anything.
While a measure of affirmation and affection from parents is needed with kids, way too much of it has a tendency to breed dysfunctional narcissists (hello millennials!) and I think that's what we're seeing here to a degree.
Remember that this is a grown man whose mommy is running into court proceedings and making a scene to protect her special boy, and you have all the information you need to determine the problem here.

I'm an atheist and even I understand certain people will not do certain things if they don't fall within the rules of their religious beliefs, FFS Yaniv.
He has no awareness as to what he's arguing about or to who he's arguing with and that's what makes this so entertaining. This court may be a total fucking circus, but they still have to protect the religious rights of everyone on top of the genderfluid/transgender bullshit that he's trying to push. They're not going to rule in his favor for any of these cases, but in this first one it's so obvious they're not going to rule in his favor it's actually kind of depressing- setting a precedent like "you have to wax this dude's balls even though it's so ridiculously against your religion" is just not going to happen.

9/10 times I think that WAY too much blame is put on mothers for stuff when other factors are probably at play. Same for generational/“millennial” blame. But in this case? Tbqh I’m 100% on board with you. I have no pity for Miriam any longer. I guarantee this family has a lot of ugly secrets.

I can't help but suspect that JY changing his legal name and so on after reporting all these places and trooning out hugely afterwards is related. He's had a history of poking people negatively to get a reaction he can profit from - see the Cimorelli messageboard nightmare. I wonder if Jonathon thought his simple claim that waxers wouldn't wax trans women would be hand-waved through the human rights tribunal and he'd have an easy win. When it turned out he would be under more scrutiny than he expected, he doubled down on his trans identity and this is why we've seen him become SuperTroonManWoman over the last few months. That she fined him $150 (that he most definitely won't pay) for him filing multiple rubbish cases is about as strict as this will get towards JY. But, I hope I'm wrong (I would love to be).
