Money Chandlers sued for debt megathread

A move which never made much sense to me. Spend the cash, be stuck with payments yet again.

If Barb was any good at long-term planning, she would have left Ruckersville long ago and abandoned her idiot son for the successful one. Or at least file for chapter 7 bankruptcy, live it out and have a blank slate again. If an orange man can be president, a domestic Snorlax can dodge a financial tackle, just sayin'.

That's what you would spend your money on? No one is entertained by Barb sitting alone in the house until she finally decays to nothing. On the other hand you could go the other way- then we get to finally find out what happens when the puppet strings are fully cut and Chris has to dance on his own.

Exactly, I want to blue-ball the entire Chris fandom

If Chris did run someone down in anger (I’m not sure how else Chris would kill someone) I’d half expect another slap on the wrist along with a sob story from his lawyer stating Chris is a poor trans autistic manchild who had a meltdown completely out of his control.

As soon as he starts babbling about the merge and being a cpu goddess, with that gold thing on his head, MLP gear and a fidget spinner, asking if the judge has hairy legs or some shit, they will just lock him away, or at the least a very lengthy psych evaluation. Of course he will state he is very sorry but it was not his fault at all, because nothing ever is.

What successful son? I hope you’re not talking about Cole, he absolutely despises Barb and thinks she’s a terrible person and would never give her the time of day, much less money and a place to live.
It’s also a matter of Barb being a lion among sheep and having nigh-dictatorial control over the household with the death of Bob.

Whenever I see Barb playing dumb old lday asking for funds I always think of the film Devil.

Yeah, because nothing says "free-wheeling metropolitan New York art critic" like having your elderly shut-in hick mother living in your apartment and filling every square inch with thrift store tchotchkes.

Cole wouldn't piss on Barb if she were on fire. Dude ducked out of the Chandler dumpster fire as soon as he possibly could.

Blood from a stone is the saying.

Honestly once I saw the date moved up to the 3rd, i knew it was likely because the is no case to be had. Chris effectively doesn't have an income. And because of his ability to essentially be the Teflontard, this gives him more reason to not get an actual job.
But don't be mistaken, he still owes the money, and I'm sure it's accruing interest at a fantastic rate because he is likely going to miss his minimums.
If Barb actually wanted to really do something for Chris before she passes; she'd find a way to take on his comically small amount of debt. I wouldn't even be annoyed by Chris missing out on more responsibility... its probably the least she could do for allowing him to run fucking wild since Bob passed.
If anything Barb would use Chris' credit card to pay some of her debt and land him further in the hole.

I'm going to guess it depended on the dispersement and terms of Bob's will what kind of loan or mortgage Barb could apply for. I'm sure he wanted Chris to have the house as some form of security and then Barb went and mortgaged a free and clear house.
Bob mortgaged 14BC himself before he died. We don't know exactly why, but one line of thinking is that a house is a lot of responsibility (maintenance), so it might be better if Chris got an apartment and just had a lump sum of savings in the bank to supplement his tugboat.

The words "Chris" and "Savings" are as far removed from each other as a cigarette on an oil rig.

:story:

You do realize you validated by idea that Chris would have the tugboat revoked by Bob if Bob was still alive?

The tugboat is gonna be a burden on Chris after Barb dies and the house is repossessed. He will be walking the streets fleeing loan sharks constantly who would break a finger if he even so much as use the dimensional merge as an excuse for an IOU.

I think that Chris would think that moving into a smaller apartment would be a down size and he wouldn’t want to do that because it would be beneath him.
Certainly, but I'm thinking if he was forced my circumstances, like losing the house after Barb dies. He'd be pissed as shit to have to limit himself in any way but it's either that or the streets.
