It's easy to see he's stuck in the rut and refuses to change. It's not even funny at this point, it's just sad. Minor power-level but I was the same way for quite a while. He was clearly being edgy and joking simply playing with the real details of the relationship. Light sees the girl as a random thot that he keeps around because he thinks she could serve him and she actually does in the anime therefore feeding into his god complex further. He doesn't consider her as having any kind of interior life because to him she is just like any other human. He probably did or at least thought about doing an anime mumkey review on it and this whole show is just a hangover from that.

I made this connection as well. Add to that his touching on his "hatred" and "thoughts of vengeance". He blames everyone but himself. Distancing himself from everyone. Probably won't be a school, but as Josh said at the end of his stream, Mumkey is alluding to a finale and if there's anyone in his life watching, talk to him.
