Honestly, I think Ralph would make a better sidekick than main host. Some people just really need another person to lead the discussion and bring certain aspects out of them. Super Best Friends is a good example. I liked Matt when he was doing videos with Pat. Pat led most of the discussions and created fun moments that led to Matt being amusing. Solo? Matt is an unfunny whiny faggot that revels in his own bad jokes. Pat's doing great on his own though.

I mean, it obviously wasn't his mom. We know what his mom sounds like from the other voice mails and that was a different person. Not to mention that there's a way your mom says "I love you" and your lover says "I love you", and I know that the lines get blurred in trailer park country, but still.

There's a way that Ralph speaks when he's not telling the truth and tries to play it super cool to the point where his voice goes up in pitch and he starts making awkward jokes in attempt to distract the person he's speaking to. He'll go as far as to take jabs in joke form like he did with Null and Dame when he was totally not fucked up on pills and bourbon.

Ralph has been covering the Mumkey debacle on TRR. I haven't tuned in for quite some time, but it's been an enjoyable show so far. He claims to have been sober for 18 days. I don't know if I believe him - but he sounds quite chipper and totally switched on, and has owned up to how important it is to take the advice of people around you....y'know, when they're all shouting the same fucking thing. The tone of the show reminds me of this time last year. Perhaps the gunt has risen from the ashes, at least partially.

He's gone through this cycle before, though. For instance his jail time seemed to calm him down and get him to realize he'd fucked up and needed to make amends. And then he went back to the usual guntery.

He's just on a much slower cycle than most lolcows and has more self-awareness.

The problem is, it always seems like Ralph lasts a month and then goes back which makes sense since the post-alcoholic "euphoria" lasts about a week or two. It's also why he always seems to relapse. When the euphoria goes away, he reverts back to old behaviors.

Basically, I don't think this will last and he'll revert back to the old cycle.
