Arc-welders are hardworking people, carpenters are mostly lazy scammer...I think an arc-welder would have more in common with a carpenter than this schmuck.
It’s mostly portraying JC as an Adam Sandler character (idiot with a heart of gold). PS - Nice consistency Pace, really like the shape-shifting knocked out bad guys:
Richard Pace cannot throw stones at Canales considering MARVEL. Now, Pace, be a good boy and suck Kwanzer's cock and say his artist on Black AF is "perfection" you fucking retard.View attachment 837047
Pace criticizing Canales, but...
1. Canales and Ya Boi Zack both acknowledge that this wasn't going to be the artist's best work. There was nothing budgeted for re-work etc.
2. Pace doesn't have that excuse his book 2nd Coming. Furthermore, Pace has coloring to help cover up any possible mistakes and they're still glaring.
3. Canales and Ya Boi put out their own creator owned work, something Pace refused to do and instead stole money from his backers.
Who is it published with?
I think I heard a reviewer say Wrong Earth was fine, I don't remember who or if it was some weird fever dream I had.
And speaking of them, saw this in the news tab. Felt it should be shared:

Never heard of this, that last sentence(?) was so cringy I lost any interest:

What I find more deliciously ironic than anything is that people predicted what this book was gonna be about just by seeing that it was being published by nu-Vertigo. Wannabe edgy but actually stale and played out by at least 20 years.
How? I never read it but that premise kinda writes itself. This is about what I expected from Mark Russell. He made a fucking comic about Booster Gold meeting the Flinstones that was unfunny and mean spirited.
Holy shit that is a cursed image. It looks like Adolph and Poe are holding up a table with their heads, the background is so disproportionate I cant even look at it. This kind of picture will legit make people mad on the internet. This is so fucking exceptional it's actually quite astounding.
How? I never read it but that premise kinda writes itself.
As someone who doesn't follow Booster, what IS his origin?

I haven't read it but most of the Hannah Barbera crossover are duds:
I agree with most but the "new, young & talented" crop of "Pros" have no love for the medium as well as being egotistic pricks. It's plainly obvious most do comics as a stepping stool for movies/tv/animation. Hell, the prime example of how blatant this exact problem is, just got a tv show for a book that sells less than 1K issues.I'm currently mulling over the whole Comicsgate thing for a while- I don't get excited about comics any more, I gave up some time around 2008 and I only go and by the collected editions of older stories.
But just a few thoughts...
Am I to believe that some coughing former Jarhead, sitting in his car with a box of McNuggets and using a mobile phone camera to flip through a comic and critique it can cause this much insane hysteria in the comics industry?
This leads me to believe a few things. If I'm wrong, call me out on it. And if you have another opinion, please share it with me.
-The comics industry is in dire straits (and the number show it), and this kind of critique puts a spotlight on how far it's fallen
-The industry is in dire straits, and the people in it know they'll be getting released soon, and people like Meyer and other independents that loathe the current industry aren't alone and are more in touch with what the paying fanbase wants- and those critics can easily become competition
-The industry is hurting so bad, they need an exagerrated boogieman in order to use "Activist Marketing" ("Only bigots hate this product, give me money for it and it fights bigots!").
Thoughts?
Brave souls have actually managed to get a PRICELESS picture of his booth (I will never not love this picture):

Magdalene Visaggio (formerly Brian Visaggio) is a troon comic writer, who as a male was unwanted by the comics industry. He only had 1 credit to his name, until he decided to put on a wig and go on HRT. Since trooning out he's had work from nearly every single publication (Marvel, DC Comics, Oni Press, IDW, Dark Horse and so on) as a diversity hire. How do we know he's a diversity hire, you're probably thinking?
1. His sales are beyond trash. Most of his books start with low sales and end with even lower sales:

(N/A = is not tracked by Comichron)
This warranted a tv show:

And 2. He has little to no people actually buying his book. He relies on comic shops to gamble on his books to actually sell. At conventions his booth is always empty. Brave souls have actually managed to get a PRICELESS picture of his booth (I will never not love this picture):
