As someone who actually deals with depression and anxiety, it's this sort of behavior that pisses me off. I know it shouldn't. She's a lolcow. We shouldn't get mad at lolcows. But, like... Bitch, it's not fucking fun being afraid of leaving the house or driving because you're afraid something bad is going to happen. It's not fun when your medication doesn't work and you have to keep going back to your psychiatrist to get it changed, which often causes several side effects.

It's not fun. It's not something I want to have. I don't love my mental illness. It's something I have to fucking deal with.

Love inheriting a condition that got me kicked out of school, derailed my plans for life, put my family through hell and sent me on a medication rollercoaster ride that may have permanently damaged my health. Totes. u feel me?

Despite the above sarcasm, though, this comment doesn't actually annoy me that much. It sort of sums Vade up, doesn't it? The perfect one-stop-shop for "Vade is a terrible human being and here's why we're laughing at her."

Vade is one of the reasons why people like my family exists. Her going around, saying mental illness is great, and overall obviously pretending that she has something she really doesn't. It makes it look like everyone with legitimate mental illnesses are faking it, and some neurotypical people end up believing that. It took me several years and several doctors to get my family to believe that I have issues, and it's people like Vade who help perpetuate misinformation.

The fact that she's proud of her alleged mental illnesses tells me she doesn't have them, not truly.
