Damn, beat me to it. Now, I'm not a big comic guy but I do remember reading about this arc. I wonder if Phil is aware of Stark's issues behind the scenes. Are his various personae his suits of armor he dons?

Yeah, actual serious burns scar your shit up right? and even with skin grafts they're still noticeable. I'm reading first degree burns are mostly superficial but anything past that will likely scar. I am of the mind that if he calls coughing choking then he'd likely call a scrape a burn as well.
Not 100% sure but I think he said he got either 2nd or 3rd degree burns.

He won't reveal any actual details until he is forced to by complete and total desperation. Even when he's been talking about being overdrawn, any questions about where his money is going is met with "FUCK YOU NOT YOUR BUSINESS". I would expect him to keep talking about vague "issues" for as long as possible...mostly because it works. He got ~$10k last month from that style of begging. Why wouldn't he try it again?

Doesn't the guy have a business or finance degree? Socially speaking he's a subject matter expert since he went to an institution of higher learning for it. Granted he's no Chris Chan e-begging that his cats are gonna starve and throwing a bitch fit because people offered to send food instead of money, but I certainly feel that there is something he's not saying. Is he choosing to lose face to make an extra buck or is he really on the brink of losing his house every other month. The guy that owns 2 houses, crying about losing a house. It's strange, is all.

Are we really supposed to believe that Dave only goes outside once a week and that's so he can go to Fred Meyer's or to go to the restaurant?

Why the fuck would you move across the country in a private gated community only to do that?

Literally could've done the same back in CT. Fuck it, at least get a bigger apartment if you really can't stay in that condo even though it's more than enough for someone like Dave who just plays games and drinks gin all day

What a dumbass

I think the current condo was either the most or second most expensive home they looked at when they first went to Seattle, and one of the smallest. One of the other places they did a walkthrough (the only walkthroughs Phil's ever actually done on his channels) of was a legit 3 stories with something like 4 bedrooms. For a man who plays vidya all day and an unemployed 20 year old. His real estate agent must have been dumbfounded.

But you could tell that as soon as he saw the new condo was in a "gated community" the search was over. That's all he ever really cared about when moving, was to get a safe space as far away from anyone who knew him in real life as possible.

Connecticut had too many taxes. Thank goodness he moved...

Finding a reliable internet provider aside. He could've gone to a flyover state for a fraction of what it costs to live in Seattle, and done the very same thing. Did he get bit by the West Coast bug?

So, he's... going to stream 3 hours of Judgment, and then DQB2 for maybe four hours, for whatever reason.

I don't get it. Why not play DQB2 on both streams?

2 Main Reasons:

1) Because he would get bored. That's the explanation he gave for why he didn't just pay Sekiro for 12 hours on his marathon: because he would get bored and hate the game.

2) Money. DSP legitimately believes that if he played the same game for both streams that it would cost him money because if someone doesn't like DQB2 then they won't "interact" with him, but if he plays two different games, then fans of both games will "interact" with him. That's the primary reason he's a "variety streamer."

Him and Leanna were both hoping to reap some state tax benefits, so had settled on Florida and Washington. There are two interpretations:

1. Phil picked Washington because he was too lazy to look at a third house. Had the second house he looked at been in Florida, he would have probably picked Florida.

2. He intentionally picked the side of the country furthest away from Leanna's family.

One of my favorite Phil lines from that time was that he was only buying the best (most expensive) furniture for his house because him and his family would be needing it for years to come. Thus, he was too good for second hand or IKEA. Assuming Phil pays minimum payments and charged that shit, he's likely still paying on the shit he thought he'd be using with Panda.

I leave this board for months and come back to see absolutely nothing has changed.

God, what a boring fucking faggot DiSP is...
It's the worst and best thing of DSP: You know what to expect and he doesn't dissapoint, but he gets very stale. One wish he got involved in drama more often or he went on autistic tirades more often.

No first stream yet so I’m watching last night’s MLB stream on Youtube:

-Forgot he was on the Pirates. No longer in the preseason: they’re in the “full season”, the “main season”. (Regular season.)

-Shuts down a song request. Doesn’t want to do a sing-a-thon like last time.

-Someone asks if there’s food he didn’t like as a kid, but now likes as an adult. Answer: seafood, certain vegetables.

-Someone asks what onions to use for a sauce. Phil says yellow are all-purpose, white is better quality but caramelizes differently, red onions are sweeter. And Phil says he knows because he cooks Italian food: he knows what’s good. Shallots? Phil: “Shallots are the same as green onions, right?” (They’re not.)

-Might eventually do a video of the sauce again. He and Kat “have really done different things to (their) sauce since (they) started making it together over a year ago and (they’ve) tweaked it a little bit.”

-Asked whether he thought about being a cook when he was younger because he sounds like an expert. (!) Phil laughs: no, not an expert, and no, never thought about being a cook because he was never a good cook.

-Phil hits a soft liner headed to right. The second baseman was playing deep and takes a step before making a jumping catch. “Whaaat? Uh, that animation… he was completely facing the wrong way. He jumped up backward and somehow caught it with the animation they gave him.”

Phil still doesn’t believe after the replay. “WTF? Whaat? Who catches a baseball like that? WHO catches a baseball like that. Turning your back to the ball?”

-Followup to the cook question. Phil clarifies that he wanted to own and manage his own restaurant, not cook at his own restaurant. (“...guy behind the scenes, maybe responsible for some of the menu”) madara_is_god almost went to culinary school

-Asked what kind of restaurant. Thought about an Italian restaurant. Also got the idea to open a franchise from his dad. “...everything is already done for you… easiest way to do it… you’ll make tons of free money basically.”

-Favorite restaurant? “I don’t have a favorite restaurant. I don’t. I don’t like playing favorites.” (?) Doesn’t name them, but describes a few restaurants in his area: a Mexican place, an American one that serves rotisserie chicken, a ramen place. Phil also eloquently says that a few weeks ago he and Kat tried phở: “..we tried PHAW! For the very first time we had fresh PHAW! Vietnamese... noodle dish!” Reiterates that he doesn’t play favorites.

-Maybe a troll tip wishing Phil well and hoping he and Kat can have honeymoon in Honduras. Phil: “I’m pretty sure the last place we’d want to go is Honduras.”

-Blue apron and similar services = too expensive

cespedes9.jpg

-Robbed of a home run. Half-jokingly says Mets don't make plays like that. (The guy who made the catch is a former Gold Glove winner)

-Someone asks about visiting Seattle and says they don’t want to visit tourist traps like the Needle. Phil says he’s only been to touristy areas and the Needle is alright. He then starts to describe tourist trap sounding places, saying they're fun.

-Waiting to talk with webmaster about what happened with the poll results. (“If all the votes were legit, which I know they’re not... if all the votes were legit apparently Spongebob was the winner… we have to double check all that and confirm that. Make sure it’s not falsified.”)

-As mentioned, starting to beg for tips for Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The week after that will be Wolfenstein: Youngblood

-Still doesn't know what a pitchout is, this despite being told several times by chat. Runner on first: first pitch is a pitchout. "WTF? Did you see that? That was a wild throw. What the hell was he doing? What an asshole!"

-Correctly guesses Noah Syndergaard’s nickname, Thor, based on name and appearance.

-Owns two pairs of sneakers: New Balance, which he’s worn for years because they help with his back, and Filas. “...alternate between them, that way neither pair gets SUPER worn out right away.” Only wears shoes twice a week, and only once (day off) for a significant amount of time.

-Runners on 1st and 2nd. Phil hits a ball hard into right field for a base hit. Right fielder charges and throws all the way home -- no bounce -- which prevents the run from scoring and the challenge from being completed. Phil: “Why’d he throw home? Thats was weird.” Didn’t know what the challenge was; wasn’t paying attention.

-Didn’t see superblindman’s raid. (hehehe)

hit_pitcher.jpg

-Phil hits a ball of the pitcher. "Oh, Jesus! Oh! I hit the pitcher! Dood, I hit him. I hit the pitcher right in the head. Did you see that? The ball hit him right in the head!"

pitcher.jpg

No replay, but the pitcher is raising his pitching arm, clearly checking his shoulder. Phil insists: "He got fucked up. I wanna see the replay. That shit hit him right in the face."

Aaand today's stream is live.

He said yesterday that his shoes last him a long time because he only wears them once or twice a week.

So who is the webmaster of TKOH forums? Why doesn't he do it himself?
