Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

There was already an episode where Rapeman, the real life manga, appeared in an episode. Many weeaboos ala moi were offended. I wouldn't put it past them to shit more on the anime world.

Case in point.

I hope they get hammered in harder due to fucking with Monty Oum's creative vision and whose thot ass girlfriend/fiancee allegedly killed him via allergy poisoning.

I know, there there. It's absolutely frustrating, I know. It's like an entire chapter of my life has turned upside down because of these fucking exceptional dipshits.

Where the fuck are the rest of my quotes

You know, this honestly gets me to wonder if there's some deeper conspiracy behind this. Like what if the feminazis, fauxgressives, and SJWs setting up Vic was actually a master plan to draw attention away from how they essentially money launder profits from overseas anime through licensing and localization companies, including streaming services like Crunchyroll, and funnel it into things like the Democratic 2020 Presidential Election Campaign? Or what if this was actually a smokescreen for Sabat and friends to pocket and fold up shop to embezzle all of Funimation's funds? They aren't paying a fucking dime to Japan right? Where is that money going to? They have to be making more money than anyone can imagine, anime is still pretty big right now as far as I'm concerned. This is a bullshitting conspiracy theory, but think about it. Rial, Toye, and the Kick Vic VAs are up in the front to take all the blame, while the higher ups and current CEO of Funimation jets when this all cools down. Deep down, this isn't going anywhere without monetary gain. Funimation sits on Dragon Ball, and sure, keeping that golden goose alive is important.... But they just made a killing off of the Broly Movie, right? And they have that shitty streaming service, but something is way off. They have hands in their backpockets with mostly everyone, something is up, I feel.

I would talk about the anime dubbing voice acting industry, but I get autistic and passionate and explosive about anything creative, so I'm gonna pass.
This is impossible for one reason.

Japan tends to be a hawk with its big budget money makers. They are watching dragonball and one piece like fucking hawks.... so you can be assured that funimation has not just toei's eye right now because of this incident. Again, I point out that no company in japan ever lets their employee's or even contractors do whatever they want. They keep an iron grip on them. There's a reason the japanese voice of vegeta was pulled out of kamehacon.

further, it's looking like Toei may make funi clean house regardless. Rial has been proven to be a toxic influence on sony and Toei cares about its brands image. Depending on what their translators are telling them, they're going to start iron gripping rial and company at minimum (yeah she will not like that one bit and will be begging vic to talk to them) or they're going to straight up make funi fire them.

Note: for evidence, I present to the court of kiwi farms a simple logic puzzle: if this isn't true then why isn't there a lot more drama over there? something like this would have the country in an uproar and calling for otaku heads to roll.

I feel like I'm way behind, where was it confirmed that he hired escorts? Was it from the Saturday stream?

There’s also the stuff about Sabat having to rename his studio tour before canceling it altogether. I’m not sold on the Japan stuff because there’s been so many rumors about Toei and their involvement and there’s nobody to verify those rumors or an insider to how things are playing out in Japan, even if it’s stuck behind a language barrier. If Toei was the stickler for image/PR that people claim them to be, wouldn’t have they told Schemmel to knock off his Goku tantrums years ago?

Off topic, but I’ve also heard that Toei despises DBZ Abridged.

A touch off-topic, but what are the chances Toye was coached to say he didn't remember his tweets to avoid cross-examination with Rial's testimony?

I was thinking that when I watched his deposition. It’s possible. I mean, Nick said that Ty wanted him to verify that the texts were his, and he denied Ty that satisfaction. I’m also thinking Ronica Roye go to a courthouse/city hall and get a marriage certificate signed and witnessed and all that fun stuff to get on record that they’re married so they can get spousal privilege.

Don't think this'd be able to apply retroactively.

Yeah, they do. Funimation and Sbaat are probably the only things protecting that thing from getting taken down.

Which means DBZA will probably be a sad casualty of this whole fiasco.

Spousal privilege isn't retroactive. They could get married today and it wouldn't protect them from testifying about anything prior to today, just going forward from the marriage date. I bet they're going to wish they had gotten married back in December before this whole thing ends.

Eh, won’t stop them from trying.

IF Sabat and Funimation are capable of fending off Toei from doing what they want with their own product, I struggle to believe they're as much of a loaded gun as people are anticipating in this case.

Toei were happy to work alongside them with the DBZ Ultimate BD set without cancellations and that only happened a couple of months ago. Toei's status on this is pretty nebulous.

Pretty sure that group are hiding at best, and KickVic at worst. Funi and TFS have routinely featured each others VAs on projects because TFS knows that being in Funi's good graces is probably the only thing keeping them alive, and Funi knows TFS are good boys who always say "support dat official release". Considering every group that has been aligned with Funi from CR, to ANN, to Sony seems to have a cancerous element of SJWs inside. TFS is more than likely no different if you read some of these soyboy faggots' twitter feeds. Screw em, they've been making cash off Toei's iconography for years.

That’s what I was getting at. There’s just so many question marks with Toei. I’m not even sure they’ll end up being a player.

I don't know, something's really of with them, IMHO.

Yeah. I don't think two young women accompanying a man to his hotel room and then noping out when sex is asked-- and apparently leaving without further incident-- are "victims." (And nor do I think it is particularly creepy, skeezy, gross or whatever, Mr Lemoigne.) That is certainly one thing that is "off" to me. (I absolutely despise this sort of shit and the people who pull it, as it trivializes actual victims of harassment and assault), and I am willing to bet most people who will be sitting on the jury in this situation will agree with me.

Adults are no longer allowed to have adult relations anymore (excepting 1 is trans and none are chasers). Didn't you get the memo?
