But she said she forgave Vic. Also, what caused the twins to suddenly contact Monica?
The most important thing right now for Vic’s team is to:
A: Steer the case past any TCPA bullshit and into a courtroom and jury, and...
B: Establish some sort of motive for Rial, Ron, and the last VA whose name I forget.
There are no credible accusations against him (certainly nothing that rises above he-said-she-said) and if the depositions are anything to go by, the defendants would come across as deceitful or at least suspicious to any jury member.
But to really make it a home run, Ty and the rest of Vic’s legal team need to come up with a credible motive as to why they would attack Vic and try to damage his career.
Not saying that it’s not winnable without one, but it would definitely go a long way towards sewing it up.
Has there been any hints or signs as to what that might be?
Quite true. Especially in light of what would be a comparable (if far more appalling) conspiracy: Jeffrey Epstein.
That's what irks me about this. Somehow, 'everyone' knows Vic is a creeper for YEARS and YEARS but NOTHING happens until ONE DAY. That is NOT how it works. And Vic is not some super-connected motherfucker like Epstein. He's a nice guy, sure, but there's no way in hell this shit wouldn't eventually impinge on his employment and appearance at conventions.
One way to get past that, would be to try to hang it up on #timesup, Weinstein and all the other pseudo-feminist hashtag bullshit.
Not saying that it would work, but it’s the obvious play.
Don’t know a lot about this case as I’m relatively recent to this story, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they had tried some moves in that direction.
