That's not what I have heard. The version I have heard is that he was just some bloke from her Discord who was obsessed with her and thought they were dating (that or he was an ex) and got jealous when he found out that she was going to a festival with another guy.

She said that he doesn't mean anything to her and that she could replace him easily (there's a screencap of their conversation in the thread about it). Though, as i said, it doesn't automatically make him an incel.
My point is that incels are so willing to take credit for the murder, even though it's not confirmed that the guy is actually an incel. Think back on all the other incel murders/attacks/mass murders. I'm not saying that there's a pattern in the incel murders, but them wanting to shout from the rooftops that they're an incel getting revenge on all the "foids" and "chads" and "stacys" is definitely a common theme.

I think they're trying to take undue credit for something they wouldn't do themselves. They're often spotted waiting for someone to "go Elliot Rodger" in their forum, or talking about "going ER" off their own backs. And this situation lands in their lap. Kinda conventionally ugly 2009-throwback-emo looking guy murders egirl thot. "it's an incel murder from OUR SIDE", despite (from what i've seen at least) lack of proof of him being an incel.
That's what's laughable to me. They're so quick to take credit because they want that attention and recognition for their little group so badly. It's like vultures descending on a dead animal in the wild.
There were people in the thread throwing around that he was a virgin and fucked her corpse (and bragged about losing his virginity to a corpse) but, once again, virgin doesn't exactly mean "incel".

That's why they're trying to scramble to take credit for Bianca's murder. They desperately want people to be scared of them so they'll get their obligatory girlfriend from the higher-ups in the world, just so they don't lash out. It's a clever tactic that has been employed by various terrorist groups over the years, but for the small online community that is incels, it's not effective. People are laughing at them (like we do here) instead of take their plight seriously.
Nobody is scared of them lashing out, especially over something that is (in the grand scheme of things) a non-issue. Nobody was scared of incels after Elliot Rodger. Nobody was scared of incels after Alek Minassian. Nobody is really scared of incels, unless you're a woman who has the displeasure of having 1 on 1 time with an incel.

That so much is true, but if you think people are actually quaking in their booties about incels (another thing they want desperately), you're very much mistaken. I've been a little out of the loop as my wifi was down from last night until a couple of hours or so ago. I won't be up to date on the media coverage if I'm honest.

The only time people have really given that much of a shit about incels (to the point of mass media coverage) is when they take credit for a thing. Like the Elliot Rodger massacre. Other than a few isolated incidents such as those, nobody has really given a shit when it comes to the media. The thing is, Minassian was an incel- his posts about the incident and digital footprint definitely indicated that to be the case. It wasn't misreported.

So incels baiting the media on it worked (even though it's not confirmed, and highly unlikely that Brandon Andrew Clark is an incel IIRC) - however incels aren't as prosecuted by the media as you may think. For incels, they're all very close-but-no-cigar when it comes to media coverage. They're taken seriously for all of 5 minutes in "mainstream" media. Afterward, there's the odd pseudo-buzzfeed article by some anonymous blogger or wannabe journalist that doesn't pick up much speed or clicks from the public unless they actually go looking for dirt on incels. People will care for a month and then they'll go back to just being made fun of here, on reddit or any other site where people laugh at autism

Taken seriously? Yes. Feared? No. Their demands laughed at? Oh honey definitely. They have not, and will not be seen as a threat as a collective group over a few more isolated incidents. They're not quite getting what they want from the media.
