I'm a GameGrumps viewer and watch them almost daily. Just wanted to make an account finally after lurking on this site a lot and post here because recently I've noticed lots of frustrating things about the Grumps that make them borderline unlikeable (especially in videos like the power hours).
I feel like the atmosphere on the show is a lot more tense, both Arin and Danny don't seem to care as much and they seem kind of indifferent towards what they're doing as well.
Plus their 20 friends-on-a-payroll in their office makes me really annoyed, why don't they just fire some of them?
A small list of things that annoy me: Arin and Dan forgetting things, Dan literally being told what X is on the screen in a videogame and then 5 minutes later Dan is like "wait what's X??", the censoring issue where they blindly made a decision to censor their entire channel based on a fucking MatPat video.
Sometimes their personalities annoy me too, sure they can be funny but something about it lately just feels very fake and forced.
Arin is constantly trying to be quirky even though I suspect he's actually unhappy to be doing this and very tired of it. I don't know why I think it but certain drama and situations just makes that shine through for me at least.
Dan seems to be even less into it as during games he frequently sees something, or even does something himself and then forgets about it.
They did a Monopoly video where Dan threw a double roll of 2 5's, which made him roll twice. After rolling once he got to roll again, and he was like "oh I rolled double's??" even though if he was paying attention he would easily have seen that he just threw a double, because that's what you do when you're playing a game.
I watched their entire Undertale stream as well for some reason, it was very annoying sometimes how they would just not get things or forget things as if they had goldfish brains. Also I don't get the hate for Allie, she's really just trying and sure she keeps fucking up but I think the complaints in the chat are a bit entitled. When someone is trying to make entertainment people shouldn't be straight up attacking people with insults because they do some things wrong. Sure she was their stream coordinator and should have done a better job, but I doubt she was that experienced either and it was quite a big stream as well. Yes she made some mistakes, but big groups of people should not be attacking people attempting to do their job for doing it wrong. People are human and make mistakes like that, and even if it's inconvenient it doesn't mean she's a terrible person or should fuck off from the stream. What did annoy me was the large amount of misinformation she gave them, which is some big incompetence from her. I feel like she should have possibly studied up on what's to come or kept a guide or the wiki with her during the stream. Because instead of saying "I think um.." from what the chat says she should have just googled around a bit and given them a hint. It's not that difficult.
About the Switch situation, I suspect that the reason they can't finish it is that the savefile is on Allie's Switch, and Undertale is also a boxless game downloaded from the Nintendo store. Because of this the game with their savefile may only be accesible from her Switch, which she forgot. It's a bit unprofessional and I feel like they should have checked if she had the Switch before starting and promising a stream. They should have just delayed it and then made a new stream where she did bring it. Instead they chose to "not finish the story" which is annoying for several reasons, including that the fans wanted to see them end, the fans now have the idea that they beat Sans and just threw away the ending they themselves got to see which points towards indifference towards the game AGAIN after how many times they didn't pay attention during the stream, and it's just very unfriendly and rude to do that especially if it's just 10 minutes that would finish their 8 part series of Undertale streams. It's a big waste and it's quite rude that they chose to just not do it because Allie forgot her Switch rather than say that she'll bring it and then they'll do a new stream.
