She tried to bring up possible real trauma to make her account more sympathetic - "I had been raped when I was 15" while this may be true, why would she bother mentioning that only to use it for "So I went along with it"? I've never been a victim myself, so I cannot purport to know what I'd do in that situation but I do know how I react to other harmful events. I groom dogs for a living, but before that, I worked at a dog daycamp. I was bitten by both dogs during a fight breakup, which later in life made me more cautious about reading their behavior and stress signs. I haven't been bitten once at my new job because I don't allow that shit to happen again.
So Monica was potentially raped or molested at 15 (I'm not going to question the validity right now because it's not important.) I don't believe that she wouldn't fight him, or try and reason with him, instead just opting to "go with it". It doesn't sound right. If it had happened to her with someone else, somewhere else, would she still just "go with it"?
Another point she kept hammering home was that for publicity and appearances sake, she would still be friends with him for the conventions. So why is that different now? There are ways you can keep appearances and still hate the person. You could do subtle things too request a table change, a panel position not right next to him, speak to him privately before the event: "Listen Vic, I still don't like that you tried raping me in your hotel that one night, so please don't involve me in your schenanigans during the panels" etc. Monica instead opted to be super friendly in front of the public, talk nice to Vic personally, then turn around and speak shit about him.
Be an adult, Monica. The jellybean incident is the best evidence you have because it doesn't sound batshit crazy as far as what event transpired. It just makes you sound crazy for taking it the way you did. But if all you have is a jellybean story, maybe don't try to be the biggest voice in ruining a person's life.
