Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I remember the Kony 2012 guy also was apparently straight but had gay mannerisms, and he was a theater student. Yeah, something about theater spreads gay mannerisms around.
I thought it was pretty well common knowledge that theater kids are and always have been the gayest straights you'll ever meet?

I'd assume at least some of them aren't really that camp but always act it so that they're always in acting mode, but I don't know.

Only a matter of time before japan make an anime about anthropomorphized liquor.

Back in early 2018 an anime about anthropomorphic sake brands was promoted:

Hasn’t a big thing of the courts been that they’re completely unable to catch up to the internet? That’s been a complaint since at least cyber bullying picked up.

So anime will get its own Jack Thompson? Given that the general public sees anime as either high art like Spirited Away, kids stuff like Pokémon, DBZ, or Sailor Moon, or the most depraved shit imaginable involving schoolgirls and tentacles, I can see that.

I’d watch that. If fan art happens, somebody send it to Nick.

I missed that guy.
i don't vic will creep on this disgusting whale.

also why? Every single person who comes forward is fucking disgusting. I know its a shitty thing to say, but certain people are not who this guy is gonna creep on, plain and simple.
That’s not a shitty thing to say at all. More tough love when these people were young would have allowed them to mature into grounded, emotionally healthy human beings.

In other words:

Yeah, it actually sounded like he was getting a list of people from Vic to wreck at funi, but that might have very well been intentional on his part.

IF funis tweet got run by their in house council (and I doubt it did) , I wouldn't be surprised if he gets canned after this. If not, whoever is/was responsible for it will likely get canned. There will almost certainly be firings and several HR meetings of "don't do this shit, otherwise we can get sued" there. I'd imagine likely all the VA contracts will get some form of update.

Regardless I hope that this wipes funi off the map forever. They've been shits since they fumbled their way into getting dbz and took over the dubbing themselves. Sabat and Schemmel being the biggest ones who whine like bitches when people don't treat them like princesses. Imagine throwing a fucking tantrum because the previous (and actually talented) goku was going to be at the same con as you. Imagine helping form the mob against Vic just to distract from what a piece of shit you yourself are.

You know what's amazing? I can say that Sabat and Schemmel are useless whiny shitstains without needing to accuse them of being 'predators'.
I feel like every time I see these “I hope company X dies” posts, I can only say that the rumors are greatly exaggerated. If only because I can’t see how a single bad thing can cause a business to go under with a Thanos snap. It’s usually death by a thousand cuts I feel. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen lots of Discord talk about RT going under and the RWBY IP being sold for seemingly peanuts and pennies on the dollar.

I guess there are a lot of cases of wishful thinking/delusion and penis envy among kickvic.

Then why does nearly every anime featuring high school kids (so nearly every anime) feature scenes of the characters hanging out on the school roof?

(Seriously, even before this incident, I wondered about that.)
The roof is fenced so you cant jump. Not every building is like that

He can accept gays and hope they find redemption through Christ. I do not know exactly he believes in, though.

I would think he has lived this way for so long that he may have convinced himself that he does not need to come out. In my youth hiding in the closet till the end of days was the option I considered the most likely "solution" for myself.

I have met these types of people, but they do not get the same vibe.

Like I said, I might be wrong and way too stubborn to accept that my hunch about him has been wrong.

edit: or him coming out as a gay man mid lawsuit would make this the funniest timeline ever, but that's beside the point.

Despite the good argument you make, I doubt vic is gay. Maybe bi, but even doubtful on that. It's more likely he just doesn't want to be seen as homophobic and is metrosexual

It's for the ~ aesthetic ~, I think. It's visually prettier to have your characters up on the roof surrounded by the sky with wind in their hair than sitting in a classroom or a school courtyard.

Also, usually the roofs in anime tend to have that anti-suicide fencing on top, and I think most actual schools have it as well. The locked doors are an extra precaution.

Hes also in a profession that requires being expressive to really get out a believable line. If you watch any behind the scenes stuff during recording the people are almost always moving around a ton acting stuff out as they say it. Which to the common person looks fairly flamboyant.

Difference is with FUNimation there's more than just "they make a shit animated series, this company is doomed" comments going around. This company may be cheating the IRS out of money in addition to all the crap they've pulled in regards to Vic, Sony can't be happy about buying up a studio that can't tard wrangle it's employees and thanks to their dumb woke signalling online have turned spotlights onto their contracts and their seeming lack of proper workplace procedure.

The affidavit has me dying. Monica and Ron list Stan as a witness and didn’t even double check if he was on their side. Then Ty swoops in and takes him. Incredible.:story:
Monica: Stan asked me if I was okay.

Ron: Stan saved Monica.

I don't know, but imagine being so confident in your lies that you take that exact phrase and idea behind it and take it for your own when the original story is already on public record.

I wonder if Lisa knows about this?

I'm not sure about Lisa, but I'm confident that Lisa's acknowledgement wouldn't matter much to KickVic unless she outright sides with them. In the beginning, they never cared for evidence, and that still holds true as the case continues. You can point out all of the holes in their argument, and they'll make an excuse, block you, ignore you, or not understand anything that you're saying. They'll let Monica have this one, plagiarism or not, because they'll say that the end justifies the means. I'm curious if Lisa knows this as well, but the original story being public record will probably be useful only in court.

By the way, while not Vic-related, Caitlin posted about KyoAni. This honestly would have been the perfect time for #BeThere, but that moment passed months ago.

Had to finally join after looking through these threads and having nowhere to talk to others about it since I'm banned from Twitter. So hello.

Anyways, did anyone catch this? Monica referred to herself as "the Vic Whisperer" in her depo, but Lisa also referred to herself in the same way. Depo came after Lisa's statement, though not sure when tt was (either on or before June 10th going by Supergirl's tweet).

I'm scratching my chin.

I'm gonna try to find the timestamp for this, but here is a quick, short list of the times "the Vic whisperer" has been used online, as far as I can tell:

Thiccy Greg:

Some nobody on gamefaqs:

Knowyourmeme:

PULL (4 times on this page, maybe more on others):

PULL again, just days ago, insinuating that the idea of a Vic whisperer is gross:

Lastly, the original use:

Just keep this all in mind if they start trying to defend Monica through her use of this, and what they thought of a *different* apparent "Vic whisperer."
