Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

Are they working on a sequel? Dream Daddy came out in 2017. If the whole crew is still on the Grumps payroll, then shouldn't that mean they're still working on something? When you pay a team to make something, you do it with the idea that what that team produces will earn you more than what you gave them. If they're not working on anything new, then they're literally being paid to bum around the office and talk to their friends.
No idea. It could be a sequel or a whole new game, maybe they just hang around there and just are no longer on payroll

And the Dream Daddy crew gets even more pathetic by showing just how desperate they are for attention.

what is even the point of chilling that game anymore? did Arin think he could live out of the earnings of just one game for the rest of his life?
If they wanted to make more money they could just stop wasting time on those depressing events and launch another project!

implyign they could scrape together the motivation for that

The most likely reason, to me, is because the next game they're making is taking longer to finish than they thought. They're pushing the Dream Daddy shit as a way to stay in the eye of the grump fanbase and keep relevant while they try to work on whatever's next. I'm probably wrong, but it's not like we have any information to go off of.

I assume it's a sequel because that would just be easier to do than a whole new "game."

The dream is to be able to live off one project (like FNAF, Undertale, Stardew Valley, whatever other indie game that takes off on YouTube) and make millions upon millions.

Arin thought he had enough fame and social capital to "make" a game take off - which is something that he probably feels would lend him legitimacy as an "important dude" (like the AVGN game, the Penny Arcade games, PewDiePie's game, YOGSCAST Cameos in Sonic Racing and TF2 items, etc). But then he even went a step further and tried to make whatever the video game version of "Oscar Bait" is and pushed the LGBTQIABBQ+ angle super hard - to a point where it made actual gay dudes uncomfortable.

He wasn't wrong, but they forgot to make the game any good (Like FNAF, Undertale, Stardew Valley, whatever) and it was so bland that no one that didn't know Arin personally gave a shit about it. Because no one cared, there was no controversy (aka Depression Quest, or any Anita Sarkeesian type shit) to push copies the "bad" way either and even if there was, Arin "super white guy with remarkably easy job" Hanson is not really an oppressed face that people could rally around for SJW nonsense.

The rumors are that GameGrumps, Inc are having some pains in the cash flow department (garage sales, working to clean up the image for advertisers, etc) and Dream Daddy is a product they could sell essentially forever. It doesn't cost them any more money to generate more steam keys, so it's actually a smart move to push in that direction. It would have been a smarter move to make it actually good, though.

I feel like if they're in trouble with money maybe they should just push a Patreon instead of a shitty youtube subscription which nobody wants to get. Not a lot of people really care enough to get a youtube subscription, but people who are familiar with patreon would be much more comfortable with supporting them on patreon.
Other than that I find their "support" of LGBT a little annoying in the way that it doesn't even seem genuine to me. Arin frequently acts gay and makes gay jokes but when some tumblr faggot tried to email him telling him "please openly support LGBT instead of indirectly doing it by only alluding to things like being bi" Arin replied saying that he's not gay and in a mildly aggressive way.
I feel like the reason they even support LGBT is not that they actually care about any of that shit but because they want to be "teh good guyz" among the part of the internet that is tumblr, twitter trannies, lgbt people on twitter, kotaku, indie devs, etc.
I'm not even against any of it and I find that support is alright but Arin's support seems really fake and forced to me, it's just making jokes and saying shit but being homophobic if anyone accuses him of being gay.

If they had a Patreon it would mean that they "failed" in some way. Markiplier doesn't need a Patreon, Pewdiepie doesn't need a Patreon, and so on.

It would also force Arin to be more accountable financially and Arin hates any kind of accountability. It would make him more accountable in terms of his content as well, as now the end users would potientally have a larger say and he could no longer hide behind excuses like "the youtube algorithm" and "this game isn't popular enough" as Patreon is essentially a drastically different business model for Let's Plays. It's also unlikely that people would want to subscribe on Patreon AND youtube at the same time.

I would suggest they look at Twitch, but holy fuck did they leave that twitch channel in some real ass disarray. It still has fucking Barry, Holly, Markiplier, and SuperMega in the "who are these people" list and expressly states that Holly is Ross' wife, meaning that shit is a few years old. For fuck's sake Arin, you're running a god damn business - get one of your 10 employees you don't need to clean up your fucking twitch channel.

If Arin wanted to solve all of his problems in one swoop, he could set up a fan participation system. There's plenty of die-hards in his fandom that would shill out considerable cash just to be in a single episode with him and Dan. They would probably have no problem buying their own plane tickets and hotel rooms if they wanted to go in person. Then Arin could alternate regular episodes with guest episodes. He'd make a ton of money, make his fanbase happy, and have a ton of new content.

But I guess that would be admitting defeat.

There is no fucking way Arin would do anything to make Game Grumps fans happy.

You may have been onto something. Yogscast CEO stepepd down and got intro the troubles!

Maybe Game grumps is next?
Yeah i saw that. This, Yogventures, Hannah doxing a twelve year old and Sijn also being a libertarian would make for great community watch material

All fun and games until some fan comes on and starts asking Jon questions or something like that.
