Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

You know, there are posters here making much better arguments to say what trump said is racist, or at least, could easily be perceived that way, without just completely going brainless like this.

There are better positions available than to pretend he said something he didn't and rail against that.

And again, if Ilhan Omar thinks somalian laws and rules are better than american laws and rules, why did she come here? If she thinks america is a terrible racist evil country, why did she come here?

(It's because she doesn't think those things, at least, deep down shes knows that's not true).

There's a difference between "We need to make the country better" and "This country is racist and evil". If you won't see that then there's no point in arguing.

In her case in particular I'm certain that she does think that, and the "why she came here" is quite literally "as part of an invasion attempt". The other three are just #Woke braindead socialists, Omar though is an actual terrorist supporter who's engaging in a gradual takeover attempt.

It's just part of their Woke Marketing. It gets a big reaction on twitter, and despite Pelosi's recent bout of vague self-awareness about twitter reaction versus political power, the DNC in general is still letting itself be guided entirely by the biggest and loudest public reactions. Reparations plays well with the blue checkmarks and the gibs-wanting NPCs that reply to them so they talk a big game about it, either not realizing or not caring that it's going to be actively pushing even more people away from them. Some poor ass blue collar worker in a blue state doesn't want to hear that his taxes might go up because some people he maybe shares a general skin tone with owned slaves over a hundred years ago. It's a losing strategy but they like the noise it makes.
I don't support reparations but I wholeheartedly support the Democrats supporting reparations.

All that TL;DR just to burp out DNC talking points.
Hey man if ShareBlue pays by the word, you gotta write a lot of words to pay for your girlfriend's son's bail. Respect the hustle.

Honestly, I don't know what would be sadder, if that joke was true, or the reality that this idiot does it for free instead.

The best part about the go back to your shithole statement made by Trump, the full connection was made by the DNC NPCs themselves; they accidentally proved that they know that the four people they're reeing for are these ungrateful shits, and also prove they do think more about culture and race than they like to admit given that Trump left it vague, to give at least a shred of a screen for those four.

All Trump said was there were ungrateful cunts in congress; they were the ones to announce who he was talking about and reveal they're actually as bigoted as what they are reeeing about given they are now trying to rationalize why Melania needs to go.

What I'm trying to say is just take the mask off and embrace the fact you are trash; the self-delusion game takes too much effort.

Why do the Democrats think the average Joe is going to get two shits about reparations for slavery, something that has happened a long time ago?

They don't need the average joe to care about reparations, trust me if the democrats somehow manage to get some reparation shit going it will be in the form of a tax, meaning that you the average joe only has two options;

1. Pay the tax.
2. Ignore the tax (and possibly join a militia) and be fined or sent to jail.

Wait, what

Told ya.
I really like Kyrsten Sinema even though she's a Democrat. Honestly, if she and the other recent Arizona Senators, John McCain, Jeff Flake and Martha McSally were all in a sinking boat and I only had one life preserver, I'd give it to her and let the others drown.

For some reason I can stand DINOs a lot more than RINOs. RINOs tend to be fake and waffly. They tend cross party lines to safer positions out of fear of public backlash. Whereas DINOs seem to be have more of a backbone and cross party lines to unpopular positions, in spite of the possibility of backlash. I can respect that. I can respect someone who, although I may disagree with them, they are absolutely genuine, show courage and don't betray their principles.

If they care so much about family and children, why do they want post-birth abortion then? Pretty weird they only seem to want brown kids, but want to erase black kids huh.
Its almost like they prefer certain people but discriminate against the other...
Whats the word im looking for, can a fellow kiwi help me out, its in the tip of my tongue

Probably just trying to hold a blue seat in a red/purple state, but this Epstein shit has my dead pizzagate braincells firing.

Migrant “families” = human traffickers, Trump has been holding them in detention centers, booting them back into Mexico gives another chance to sneak in.

I think you're connecting dots that don't go together, honestly. Are you trying to say historical northern migration was all about supplying kids to bill clinton island?

I mean, sure there are criminals but for the most part they legit want better lives. It's just, you know, we can't take literally everyone.

You joke, but that's literally true. African-American crime stats are absolutely monstrous and even California liberals know it deep down.

Where do you think new brown families move? Traditionally poor black neighborhoods. Who do you think gets displaced when Hispanics bring up the property values through businesses, or otherwise removed through direct gang violence?

The calculus is really, really disturbing.

For a while, and by a while I mean a day, I was worried that the left would catch on when Trump tweeted for all the world to see his strategy to tie The Squad to the Dems. But I now feel confident that they are as oblivious as ever.

FiveThirtyEight put out a staff chat article a few days ago titled Will ‘The Squad’ vs. Pelosi Be A Big Problem For Democrats In 2020? Their answers are several different variations of 'No.' How Julia Azari is a Politcal Science professor I will never know.

There's some real winners in this article.
I don’t think they’re a problem, but it’s too early to gauge their party-building potential. And obviously, they make some people nervous. But if the goal is to engage young people, women and people of color, and keep the left flank of the party somewhat happy, they seem like a good bet.
Telling black people you plan to replace their support with illegal aliens is a good bet? Good luck with that.

It would be smart for the party establishment to think of this as natural tension between the wings of the party.
Lol. No, this is not natural tension.

We’ve (and here, I specifically mean academics and the media) way overemphasized the concept of party unity.
'Dems in disarray' is not a popular theme for nothing.

It’s just hard for me to believe that these four women really would have that much of an impact on 2020?
You will in 2020.

It’s [AOC talking about getting rid of the Department of Homeland Security] also probably a very marginal electoral risk in a world where Donald Trump is president and there’s much bigger news all the time.
Telling America you're gonna open the floodgates an let in the whole world is a marginal electoral risk? Hmm...

Part of the problem is that the lessons of 2016 aren’t clear. You could say that 2016 showed that there was a real push to move Democrats to the left.
They are clear for anyone who wants to learn them.

The party establishment is probably overstating the rise of the AOC wing in terms of affecting the 2020 elections.
The Dem establishment is frequently wrong... but not on this!

Most of this in relation to the Squad is marginal, though, no matter how many hot headlines Axios posts with polls that don’t actually say anything about AOC being the face of the party or about swing states.
Let me know how that works out for you in the Rust Belt.

So maybe party leadership is scared of losing control?
[...]
But is this kind of fear misplaced? How much is the Squad really moving the party to the left?
A year ago America wasn't talking about 70% marginal tax rates. Now we are. Does that answer your question?

the Squad are very effective at getting media attention, and the media is quite happy to play up the “Democrats IN DISARRAY!” storylines. So in that sense it does seem like a mistake for Pelosi et al. to hit back at them.
Yes they are effective at getting media attention. But it's not good attention.

And this probably, to put it bluntly, does make certain older vanguards of the party uncomfortable, because they consider themselves to be liberal, and that now they’re forced to reckon with the idea that they’re maybe not as liberal as they think.
Yeah, I'm sure that this is the problem. Older Democrats are uncomfortable that they are no longer the most progressive so they are trying to rein in the younger Democrats. Definitely. /sneed

there’s a lot of bullshit in which more establishment/centrist Democrats will deride a policy for being unpopular, when their real motivation against it is that they don’t like the policy.
The fact that centrist Democrats don't like someting that Republicans also broadly dislike is precisely what the word unpopular means.

Yes, Trump won, but that might say more about how we think about women in politics more than anything else.
Hillary lost because she's a woman. You're still going with that?

I may be discounting the impact of Democrats being perceived as too left/liberal.
Yes. Yes you are.

So yeah. They are just as clueless as the day after Trump's election.

They are unknowingly calling Trump a weather-god.

"Heat index", mind, not actual, measurable temperatures. This headline is literally, literally, "it feels hotter outside to me, so it's clearly Trump's fault."

Also, the last time someone pushed political action based on a "new normal"...
