As mentioned previously, there is a discrepancy between the affidavits of Lynn Hunt (pg 310) and John Prager (pg 370) regarding Vic harassing Japanese singer Mari Iijima.
From Hunt's affidavit, emphasis mine:
From Prager's affidavit, emphasis mine:
So was it 2007 or 2010? It appears Iijima appeared at the con both years (as well as other years). So did Mignogna. AnimeCons.com for 2007 and 2010.
For answers, let's look at the affidavit of Whitney Falba (pg 329), the "Live Events Chair" for Tekkoshocon 2007. Falba does not mention Iijima. She does mention this story:
Where have I seen a story like that before? Oh, it was Hunt's affidavit:
Okay, so Hunt and Falba seem to agree that this incident happened in 2007, and if this happened the same year that the Iijima incident happened, then that means it happened in 2007 and Prager just got the year wrong. And one or both of them misrememberd exactly how many underage girls Vic apparently had in his room. But then why wouldn't Falba mention the Iijima incident if it also happened in '07?
I mean, it's all just… Are lawyers able to catch this stuff and go back to affiants and say "your stories conflict, so you guys need to remember what the truth was and rewrite these" before they file things like these with internal inconsistencies like these?
Also, has anyone ever reached out to Iijima to get her side of the story? Searching for "mignogna iijima harassment" or "mignogna iijima stalking" and ignoring recent articles returns this interesting Yahoo! Answers thread but nothing else of relevance that I can find.
Kara im at a loss of words
stunning and brave
I truly wonder how you survived that tickling incident with vic
she is such a powerful woman
I wouldn't be surprised if a certain group of unemployed Twitter lawyers wrote that pro-bono on every waking hour of the past 15 days and just forwarded it to Lemwah - just on the offchance they can claim they won the case all by themselves with it. Because they're that desperate for attention.
Honestly, I would count on it. I doubt Lemoine wrote all of that or that Soye paid for, like you say, a fuckong of billable hours.
Can't for Ty to say they got in touch. All of this and no one seemed to want to talk to the person who was supposedly harassed....Mari Iijima herself. Was she ever talked to about all of this?
She has contact information. Did they ever contact her?
By the way, if there was any doubt at all, Funimation is made up of a bunch of assholes

Maybe because they're not victims of anything?

I disagree. I can shove its head in water. drink or drown bitch.I think Nick said that lawyers are at the mercy of their clients. You can say whatever strategy you want, but if your client puts their foot down, that’s it, that’s what you’re doing. Lead horse to water but can’t make him drink and all that shit.
In all the panels I've watched (which is a lot while digging for info on all this stuff), I've only ever heard Vic say he recorded his RWBY lines at home. I don't think it's common for him to record for Funimation at home, but I could be wrong.Except again, doesn't Vic do most of his anime voice-over work at his own studio?
I would expect these 'Vic Locks" to be there considering that there needs to be no external sound in the booths and that the ADR engineers shouldn't be disturbed when recording, but then what of the ADR engineers? Are they seeing anything? "Vick Locks", "Vic Whisperer", it's like Vic is living rent-free in these guy's heads.
My understanding is this used to be the case until he moved to Texas specifically so he could be "closer to [his] work" but I'm not sure when he moved. It was right before the Broly movie, wasn't it?Except again, doesn't Vic do most of his anime voice-over work at his own studio?
And SOMEHOW, despite Vic being such a danger to Funi employees, NONE of that made it to the official kangaroo court investigation specifically undertaken to fire him.By the way, if there was any doubt at all, Funimation is made up of a bunch of assholes
