Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

I did print this thing out because Autistic Reasons.

You can kill someone with this if you print it single sided and in black and white. This still took an industrial printer 10minutes to slog through to get out the other end.

This massive, useless, trash pile of a document is only used to keep Staples' stock up as someone has to print and read through it.
The only thing I want to know is:
Can Lemwhaaaaah lift it?

Do you guys think Specht knew what she was contributing to?
Honestly? I think she may have been talked into it strictly because Vic cheated on her. I doubt she'd actually be one to corroborate any of the accusations and lie under oath, but I have no doubts she'd rather see Vic miserable than just let this slide.

She might also have been convinced by kickvic. He did cheat on her so she might believe he probably has other dark shit to hide, or has been up to a lot of dirty shit since the break up.

She's probably just being an angry ex, but having your trust shattered can make you believe anything about someone.

Michelle is probably the one person I can't even fault if she does want to maliciously ruin Vic's career, despite how great a guy Vic does seem to be, what he did to her is horrible and no one should have to go through it.

Was this entire thing a way for Michelle to get back at Vic through third parties?
Hell have no fury...

I don't want to put myself through the suffering to read this garbage pile right now, so I'll just wait until the show tonight to go over some of it with Nick. The big picture to keep in mind is that the defense, their meetoo / beleavewahmen and soyboy clients and the shrieking harpies and white-knight cucks of kickvic want to criminalize male behavior in general and Vic's in particular. Thankfully, being imperfect and male, sometimes making poor decisions, whether bird-dogging beaver or just being a fuckin' chad, is not illegal. Not yet, anyway. I have never seen any of Vic's anime dubs but I stand with him because he is under attack just as masculinity in general is being attacked as part of the ongoing culture war. The American Psychological Association recently issued new guidelines spelling out how "traditional masculinity" is "harmful" to men and boys. The field is largely dominated by women. So not only do they want to make male behavior illegal, they're pathologizing masculinity now, too. Gynocentrism is feminist authoritarianism and it has gotten to the point where it is destroying culture to further itself and its ends.

This is an epic fuckin' battle the likes of which has never been seen in anime before. If I could say anything to Vic right now I'd tell him he's an inspiration to me, to stay strong and that I'm with him all the way and I know he's going to win. He's already won imho, despite all he's been through, but I sincerely hope to see the defendants get totally BTFO'd by the time all is said and done.

Meh. She could--and probably should--have left him at any point. There's no need to feel sorry for anyone who maintains a relationship with someone they know is cheating on the regular. You might just as well consider her an enabler of Vic's less-than-praiseworthy behavior.

While that may be true it would be bad strategy to present it that way to a jury.

Wait, does Vic stalk older women, or PYTs (pretty young things)?

'Cause Mari Iijima is 56 now. She would've been 44 in '07, and 47 in 2010. I grant, some Japanese women put off aging like it's an inconvenient chore, but that's getting a little long in the tooth for chasing.

Also, affidavits need to back each other up, not look like a fucking reenactment of the classic film Rashomon.

They're not obliged to include any of those affidavits. I guess they're hoping they'll be able to overcome the inconsistencies between them.

Even in her prime she was, at best, a skinny Rose Tico. Vic could--and still can--bed pretty much any human being he'd want to. Hell, no homo but I'm pretty sure I'd happily bend over and take the Vic Dic if he so much as looked at me. OK that's probably a tad homo.

No, screw that. If she actually knew what she was getting herself into, when the accusations levied involved everything up to rape, she can eat dirt. If he cheated on her, then he should be called out as an adulterer-- that's it. She said that this was just everything blowing up in his face, but in no way does that mean she should have been involved with that explosion.

And it doesn't seem like she thinks that he was diddling kids, either, from her email.

Truth has to be in there somewhere. Maybe if we connect the lines like a web there will be some things that cross over each other!

I've scrolled like 1000 times and am still only at page 279. The judges eyeballs are going to be spinning counter clockwise by the time he hits page 40 or so and realizes he's not even 1/10th of the way done.

The judge isn't going to read it all. One of his assistants will put together a summary of the (actually) important bits and BHBH will likely move to have large parts of it declared inadmissible.

Ty basically declared he would move to strike all that garbage. I can't imagine the judge would even give it more than a glance 1/100th a way through when he would agree. I truly wish to be a fly on the wall listening to Casey argue that HUNDREDS of pages of pure speculation, hearsay and trash is admissible.

I pointed this out in another thread, but the characterization of Ms, Iijima in these affidavits is a bit weird. They imply “omg Vic was stalking a visiting foreign Japanese VA!” Iijima moved to the US many many years before these cons. She was and is an LA resident. She did both the original Japanese Macross voice acting, and returned to the same role in the ADV English dub alongside Vic. She also recorded the full series dvd commentaries side by side with Vic in studio. She’s fluent in English to a degree that her Japanese fans complain her Japanese singing and voice work has an American accent. She’s around the same age as Vic. She’s a fairly unremarkable looking small framed middle aged Asian woman.
