I personally think he bowed out to keep up his nice guy image because if he was truly genuine about what he said in his departure announcement, he would have left with Lupa & Phelous in 2015 or whenever it happened. But he saw that which way the wind was blowing and he can say that he likes working retail but no way is he ever going back to a 9-5 job. How else would he be able to go to so many cons?
At least I assume he does the con circuit. Not the massive ones like SDCC but smaller ones that require travel & lodging expenses.
Don't forget, this guy made an audio drama with a shitload of ex-producers after #ChangeTheChannel and in the process of its release, released a bunch of tidbits that put him over and bashed Doug, CA, and the 10th anniversary that never was.
The best thing about that is that I picked up on Lewis' raving narcissism years ago, but I didn't always have the smoking gun. Now I can just point to that.

I picked up on it when I first heard his History of Power Rangers rant where he lambasted people for not knowing his "busy" schedule and said that if you weren't aware of it to, "WAKE UP ALREADY!!!"

Watch his videos where he addresses his top 15 screw ups and another top 15 screw ups each time he always has an excuse or reason why it really wasn't a screw up instead of admitting past mistakes it's just videos saying yeah I was wrong but from another point of view I wasn't so fuck off.

My favorite part of that rant was that Lewis handled it in the worst way possible. I know the TGWTG fanbase is fucking retarded but even then, you don't have to rant about it in such a condescending manner. Just fucking tell them to wait since there's no set schedule and apologize for the wait. It's not hard. And it's especially glaring since this is a series he's making out of love for Power Rangers too. Then again, maybe they wouldn't have to wait so long if his HOPR series wasn't just a recap of the franchise in all but name.

And in Doug’s top 11 fuckups, he owns up to them, even the really stupid ones. The only one I remember him trying to defend was calling Chernabog the devil.

He did later admit in one of those videos that most people pointed out how that video was just him constantly excusing himself instead of admitting any mistakes.
I've been thinking about it lately. Is it just me or is it a bit sad and weird how he is still taking Power Rangers so seriously? Don't get me wrong, that show was the childhood of many people. But I can't help but notice that most people have outgrown it. I would understand if he was being nostalgic about the 90's, but he is still doing the same for all the others up to the current ones.
Sure, I see adult enjoying shows and movies that are supposed to be for kids all the time. Like most Disney and Pixar movies that are made to appeal to kids and adults alike.
But Power Rangers has always been honest in that it's just trying to sell toys, and it's really not trying to appeal to anyone but kids and Linkara treats like some kind of high art.

His drive to do HoPR is still mainly spite. He still can't take those darn super sentai nerds in college laughing at his face for "Oh, you mean Power Rangers?"

In fairness, most adults who still watch Power Rangers and Super Sentai recognize that it's for kids but at the very least they acknowledge it and enjoy it for what it is. Linkara though, well it's just funny seeing him try to see what themes there are in Power Rangers. Especially since said themes, if there were any, were probably taken from the Super Sentai show to begin with.
I mean a lot of people are religious so It's not out of the ordinary, as in it's not uncommon, for people to believe in Jesus. To be clear, I have no interest in debating the existence or lack of God.
But if he actually thought Lightbringer or the power rangers were real then that would be odd
Nah dude. To Boldly Flee was just stupid TGWTG memes and a laughably awful plot, but at least it was an attempt on humor. Lewis tries to play the AT4W Movie VERY fucking seriously. From a dumbass plot about traveling through space with other reviewers, to some drama shit with Linkara and Marzgurl, to Linkara finally saying "Fuck You" when he kills the evil badguy. The AT4W movie is stupid in a literal sense, it's really not worth the watch.
But hey, it beat the fucking Catwoman movie by a few points, so... yay, I guess?
You went back to a post I made 20 pages ago to give a "dumb" reaction over an autistic joke I made in a style she uses. Sounds like you've got a hate-boner for her ax wound.
It's interesting to see that that's also around the time Linkara left her too, which raises some interesting questions: Is it really tranny chasing if you just want their cock? Last I checked that's bog standard gay to me.
Probably why Lewis had to lie to himself given he likes to pretend he's moral and shit really.
So, since it's established that Liz ain't worth a thread, back to Lewis.
My experience with Power Rangers is that traditionally, you stop caring about them when you hit between 5-8 or so. Any kid who still cared about them were either aware of this, or mentally challenged. Given that we've seen that Lewis is unable to improve on anything he works on and will actually make excuses for this, we can safely assume that he is in fact mentally challenged and so was hired by Channel Awesome as a diversity hire.
So I'm gonna do the rest of Cassandra Retrospective in two quick posts and less detailed. Skip cursive if you don't want my autism about le-comic book """"fandom""""
He continues to bitch at Barabara for every petty reason like
1) Putting Casandra in a bikini to attend a swimming pool on a deck of a cruise ship. (Superboy saw her got horney that made Cas unconfortoble, which is Babs' fault). Casandra is 18. She can't rock a t-shirt like a 4 year old, unless you want to make superboy more horney. And if Lewis wants to say something about one piece swimsuit being a better not-sexy burka option... Fucking LOL.
2) Lashing out on Cas when she can't even describe letters related to a bomb that will explode soon. OK, so everyone understands that freaking out over a bomb is plausible even though a bit unprofessional. That's clear. But there's additional reason for why Linkara's stupid here. Cas started to hang out aroud Babs in No Man's Land. NML story arc lasted almost a year, during Batgirl's solo book another year passes (because there's a battle to the death with Shiva scheduled a year later) . More than two years of learning and no progress in terms of writing. Doesn't matter what kind of disability you have, even the best teacher will be frustrated\disappointed after 2 years of no progress.
All this is Linkara being a textbook early-2000s fanboy. Fanboys like him are insanely attached to their time: Teams shouldn't change, Characters should never have any heel/face turns (unless the turn was in the 90s), obscure C or B list characters should never die (and they are in fact secretly the best and all the popular character suck), Bonus points if: "Liefeld sucks", "Editorial is evil and writers can just operate on their own"... Shit like that. That's what he's doing, shitting on a more popular one to push the one that was around when he was a kid. It's kinda fucked up, because in-univers Barbara was always accepting of every Batgirl (or any girl) that came after her, blessed every single one and gave them HER resources, yet people like Linkara shit on her
References Llamas with Hats a meme from 2009
Gets happy that Nightwing (his favorite character) got smacked around by Cas on drugs. He's happy because a guy that tried to help got beaten all because Nightwing was a dick to Babs... who he himself called terrible this entier time, What is even in his head?
Tries to compare Batman to David Cain because they both "abUUUUsed" her. Except Cain was locking her in a room with mercenaries, beating her up for training and borked her ability to talk, while Batman was just being distant because the second Robin died. Gotta strawman to fit the hot take about everyone being a dick to Cassandra.
The next one will be juicy. It's about him talking about "proper outrage", the business side of things, history and, I shit you not, the role of an old e-community he was a part of in "saving Cas".

That gives it quite the advantage over TBF. I honestly believe if you took out all the cultural references [and by that I mean line-for-line, shot-for-shot copies from more successful films] TBF would probably be two hours.
At least tell me that if there are any jokes or plot points I won't see coming from ten miles away from the TGWTG movies. Doug's a really bad writer but is Linkara at or below his level?
