She was in one of the bigger films of last year, sold a shitload of copies of a song she wrote because of it, and won an Oscar for it. I couldn't give a shit whether she was in the game or not, but she's really not a nobody, let alone on a downswing of her career.

What's hilarious is things like ResetEra claiming that she wouldn't be in it because the outrage from the LGBT+ community would be too intense. The people who were offended by Cyberpunk 2077 number in the double digits at most, and are generally the bits of the acronym everyone else, gay or otherwise, wishes would just fuck off already. But just like they have an incredibly inflated sense of their own importance, they also believe every single backlash they support has the power to change the world more to their liking.

it's appropriated from drag culture: spilling the tea is spilling the "[T]ruth" in front of everybody about something everyone "in the know" is talking around because it's a scandal or similar
