Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Watched Rock & Rule last night. The characters felt underdeveloped, but the animation and soundtrack definitely make up for it- it's like Don Bluth and Ralph Bakshi collaborated in an explosive Heavy Metal tribute, complete with a dystopian setting and trippy effects! Also, Omar a cute.

I remember reading the Den story when I torrented the magazine a while back. That and Taarna were my favorites in the movie as well.

What still makes me mad to this day is that there will never be a CD Release of This Song Sends Love Through because the master tapes were stolen from the warehouse that housed them. I really wish they would try to remaster it the way The Rocky Horror Picture Show Boxset Absolute Tresure remastered Planet Schmanent Janet (By finding ways to remove the dialogue/movie sound affects) but I know it's a long shot because Rock and Rule is sadly not as well-known as The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a shame because that song showcases Robin Zander and Debrah Harry at their peak

So I didn’t know where else to put this, but....

This sums up my thoughts well.

This is what happens when you sell out. One of TMNT's creators used to sperg out about Venus and the idea of a fifth ninja turtle.

As it turns out, this turtle is also a troon.

I'm assuming this is the appropriate thread for this.

I watched the Shrek spinoff movie Puss In Boots for the first time since like 6th grade the other day. Before then I had only watched it once on DVD. What does everyone who has seen it think about it?

It's okay, even though it's nothing memorable, but I remember that I didn't like the ulitization of the Humpty Dumpty character as a twist villain.

Please have some nice, fluid 2d frame-by-frame animation instead of tweeny flash bullshit or ugly cg models!

Some animated goodness from Fender:

A better way of drawing in some costumers than Gibson's "We'll sue anybody who sells guitars similar to ours while not improving our abysmal quality control" routine for sure.

I haven't seen it since it was in theaters, but I found it underwhelming. I'm glad it exists and the animation is beautiful (Disney/Pixar has yet to get close to Dreamworks 3d animation), but the story and jokes felt like a step down from the Shrek series.

I love this shot of the cat playing the guitar. It just adds so much personality to the scene, and its something that you'd never see in a Disney film.

This stuff sounds like boarder line fan fiction I wouldn't be surprised if the writer used to make fan fiction on deviantart with this quality.

I don't watch The Dragon Prince (the shitty frame rate in the first season gave me headaches) but the poster for season three just dropped and God damn is that some pretty art.
