So is Jreg part of breadtube?
Oh no well at least I don't think so? Just a satire vid of all these "my descent into the alt right" vids I think

I’ve watched some of his videos and it’s kinda hard to get a good read on himOh no well at least I don't think so? Just a satire vid of all these "my descent into the alt right" vids I think
I started following Jreg around the same time as these other breadtubers for his political entertainment videos. His content is all over the place but I think that he is a genuine satire comedian. So is Jreg part of breadtube?
It was used by Richard Carrier back when the Atheism Plus clown car was rolling out (c. 2013) . It's probably a replacement for "neanderthal" after it was discovered that neanderthals had bigger brains than us.View attachment 836491
What is it with them and the word "chud"? It's become the far-left version of "cuck"
Because most of them are just progressives who say “fuck capitalism” every once and while. Despite being autistic as shit ancaps have a more coherent view of society then Ancoms. If you watch any of their videos on anarchy they’ll just describe a 17th century farming commune with magic machines that make everything for them.

You probably know this, but it's presumably a reference to the cult film C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers), where the chuds were sorta mindless flesh-eating zombie-like mutated humans. I've always taken it as more of a stand-in for the word "subhuman", since they associate that with Nazis, similar to how they use "smoothbrain" instead of re.tard.
It's used as an insult to insinuate the person is a basement dweller like the C.H.U.Ds in the film. The Chapotraphouse podcast popularized the term among current internet leftists. No idea about it before that. It is a politically correct, leftist equivalent to cuck. Cuck implies the person is emasculated and weak willed while Chud implies the person is a basement dwelling manchild. Like how /pol/ generally uses cuck for leftist or liberals, online leftists adopted chud for conservatives and reactionaries. Smoothbrain is the same thing. A politically correct version of retard since the person is afraid of being "ableist". It is like how they could not use slurs so they started saying shitlord, pissbaby, etc...It was a film in the late 60's first, and I think there's a bit of social commentary about the poor in there but I could be wrong.
All nice and sunny in the commune until Ancaps roll up with their Mad-Max style vehicles that might actually have air conditioning and fully automatic firearms. Because their system might semi-function or at least work better.
Truth about Ancoms is that, as they may or may not be aware themselves, they're not really striving for a political end goal but they want to larp as revolutionaries to escape the reality that they are so severely unlikeable that they need to form a little cult to get the illusion of a genuine community. If you disagree, point me to at least one ancom who isn't socially exceptional, toxic or a transtrender.
Have you seen the average ancap? It's true that ancoms would get bullied in a lawless society, but that bullying would be done by the now unemployed staff of the local police department or army base, or even criminal gangs - you know, people who know how to organise and commit violence with superior numbers and tactics. Most ancaps (just like most ancoms) are autistic and couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery, never mind a militia to defend their town. For a start, there would need to be a chain of command, which would require a leader...
Anarchism in general is pretty dumb.

Smoothbrain is a great one. Supposedly the more folds you have in your brain, the more intelligent you are, so a smoothbrain would have no intelligence.
It's a good triggerword.
Anybody with even a cursory amount of combat training would be able to crush an Anarchist insurrection. Hello, Catalonia.Have you seen the average ancap? For anyone who does not know, the ChapoTrapHouse subreddit is the left wing equivalent of r/the_donald. As reddit banned radical leftists subreddits, a majority of the users fled there. This resulted in the subreddit becoming the general leftists subreddit. I think a poll said a majority of the users do not even listen to the podcast. It got so bad the podcast hosts disowned it and made r/ChapoTrapHouse2 for actual discussion. This was after a huge post calling the hosts "class traitors". So there is antagonism between the actual podcast and subreddit. Then the Reddit admins stepped in and installed new mods after the old mods refused to remove posts calling for violence against "slave owners" and police officers. Reddit can not ban it because then all the users will run wild across the site. Such insanity deserves a place in this thread. At this rate, we might as well start chronicling the ChapoTrapHouse subreddit since /r/BreadTube's userbase overlaps so heavily with theirs.

I've watched C.H.U.D. once or twice on DVD. The film came out in '84.
Good analysis of the term, by the way. Like I said earlier ITT, "chud" caught on as an insult because the host of other insults don't always stick. Not everyone with right-wing opinions is necessarily a dudebro, neckbeard, incel, MRA, vaper, fedora tipper or a manchild, but "chud" works because it's catchy, monosyllabic and erases the intended target of his dignity.
I've heard smoothbrain used with nonpolitical subtext. That term is infectious and easy to use in casual conversation without ruffling too many feathers.
Just because this fits this discussion:

Is Chud a codeword for something else?
I know but I can never heard chuds without thinking of New YorkIt's worth noting that one issue with the "slave owners" bit was because they happen to refer to rent as slavery, and capitalism as slavery, so it was a semi-clever way of saying "kill all the landlords and business owners". r/CTH is an interesting sub. It's definitely adjacent to r/breadtube, at the very least.
Nah, the Simpsons was just making a reference to the movie.
I agree we should have a thread to discuss Breadtube in general instead of just the Subrreddit. The thing about Breadtubers is that they are really fucking boring people, and most of them are just pseudointelectuals instead of lolcows that get in drama everytime. However, I think we can find interesting things about these people if we dig enough. I have the vibe that most of them are the kind of really socially awkward, like the e-celebs that always got in shit. We can use it to discuss Breadtube greatest hits, because some of their political content is really fucking cringy. Who knows? Drama can come from anywhere.I think Pigpuncher is an exemplar of the breadpill community and his antics deserve their own tread, though they would be a good topic for this thread. There are a bunch of other breadpill Youtubers out there and the whole BreadTube community goes far beyond a cult of personality around ContraPoints.
