Several of those people have been outed as prolific liars, power abusers and sex pests (like Faisal, Manjawlo) or simply bitter exes. She should've had some actual talent to escape fap bait trash (Mount Lady is less important than Froppy). That said Hajimete no Gal is still kinda...not relevant despite Jamie using it to project her assmad. Maidragon's "DUDE PATRIARCHY LMOA!" had more relevance because it was the hyped SoL of the season.

That box design is either a fan of Vic's dumping his name there because "it's a recognisable name" or because they really didn't know how to market this thing.


Considering how small the UK Anime Market is too, hardly the most damning thing or the main release.

But seriously, nothing gets me pissed more than people who's entire lives depend on the goodwill of people and shitting on them. No one has to buy your slop and you can be living in a rusty dumpster filled with rancid garbage while you bleed out of some incurable disease.

The Gaming Press is at or near extinction levels. The consumers moved on to more reliable Youtubers simply showing them gameplay, and not lecturing them on how awful they are. Game Publishers are starting to feel the consumer disdain and apathy brought on by years of treating their customers like shit. Activision lost $18 Billion in valuation this week alone. There was never any possible lose state for GG or Gamers in Gamergate, for the simple fact that it is Gamers who are the only source of all the money in the system. When you piss them off they stop spending. It isn’t an overnight thing. The impacts of things like GG and CG are long term. But at the end of the day the long term result is the producers and publishers have slowly driven off a portion of their consumer base that exceeds their fairly narrow profit margins. All on the basis of being told there is a newer better SJW customer out there just waiting. There never is.

Because that worked so well for Marvel and DC. And IDW. And comics in general.

There's Marvel Entertainment and then there's Marvel Comics. From what I know latter is at death's doorstep. Marvel movies make the money, not comic books.
I've heard some damning stuff regarding Marvel Comics working conditions and organizational culture, but I don't know how legitimate that info is.

End of the day, Actiblizzard, EA and the like are massive, soulless corporations. They'll do what's necessary to make money, and if they don't, the board will put people in who will. Or, you know, the company will die and get bought out by another corporation that will. The video games industry is full of those stories.

You’re actually getting the breakdown wrong. There is Marvel Entertainment, the wholly owned subsidiary of Disney, which contains Marvel Comics, Television Programing and Merchandising. It is one business unit, and the Comics aren’t even a rounding error in the bookkeeping. All the money comes from Merchandusing. This is run by Ike Perlmutter.

And there is Marvel Studios. Which was moved directly under Disney Studios a few years back, and reports to Alan Ladd. All of the Marvel Movie profits show up under Disney Studios books and do not flow through Marvel Entertainment (save the indirect boost they get in related merchandising).

Marvel Comics are the way they are because nobody gives a shit. The sole function of Marvel Comics is to keep the IP’s refreshed by frequent use in new publications, at the lowest cost possible. Disney doesn’t care if anybody reads the shit. Just so long as it is properly published. Disney never wanted to be a traditional publisher. It’s a corporate goal to avoid being a print media publisher. They only tolerate Marvel because they need it for IP library maintenance.

They never truly recovered from the near death experience in the 90s if you think about it. The fact that Marvel Studios is adapting Lady Thor spells darker times ahead.

I bet when he shows up to conventions the entire con staff ,from ticket takers to booth assembly, is literally raped when he walks in, he gives them all numbers and stands in a line. The stamina on this man is insane I tell ya. He needs to be a spokesman for Viagra, put his face on the bottle and you will literally be able to have sex with someone by your DREAMS.

Here's hoping the Guilemont Family has the cash available to snap up the majority of the studios.

At least Ubisoft, as one of the giants, lets their studios actually do shit.

Pretty much. There are many contributing factors and Ethan Van Scyver covers them all pretty well on his channel from a pro who lived through it perspective.

From my POV as a regular reader who gave up comics after the crash, it had a lot to do with the quality of both art and story cratering HARD. Marvel stopped giving people quality of any degree and began the descent into 3rd and lower tier creatives who they could pay less, combined with more 'corporate' involvement in editorial/creative.

Just look at any Marc Silvestri or Chris Claremont from pre 95 to anything modern. Even Liefeld's no feet era is worlds better than Squirrel Girl.
