lol. i must have just stumbled on the single most cynical corner of the internet then, for myself to be called an optimist.

That yahoo mail group mentioned that it's tough to be his handler. You have to establish his boundaries for him (not because he doesn't understand boundaries, but because his fans don't), you have to watch him to make sure you can yank him out in time for his panels, make sure he takes breaks for food (or bring it to him) and you don't really get breaks. That does sound fair and I can see that being a thing. As sweet as vic sounds, he does seem like he gets distracted easily with his fans and he does come off as neglecting things like food and whatnot while interacting with the fans. I think it was probably speculation early on in the case. Around the same time Monica and Sabat claimed to want to recast Vic before the movie released to avoid having to deal with him.

It would make alot of sense given he voices alot of the characters at Funimation. Some were given to him when Funi wasn't as successful to hire more VAs to voice different characters so they just handed over certain roles to VAs they deemed bankable. However that was back during the Z Dub days. Any roles he got since Kai going forward are probably leveraged roles.

Fair enough. My primary concern is with people using mental illness as a shield from the consequences of their negative behavior. DID just happens (or happened, now that the bulk of the users have migrated to Twitter) to be one of the more popular mental disorders Tumblr users liked to "diagnose" themselves with to try and hide from the consequences of being seen as two-faced so I and other long-time posters tend to meet any claim of it with immediate skepticism. The reason for my points was to urge caution with being sympathetic to anyone whose response to criticism is to fall back on being mentally ill.

What does it say regarding the filing that the affidavit is filed as part of? What does it say when there are multiple instances of this? At what point is not simply the included exhibits, but the TCPA itself struck for being complete bullshit, if not actual perjury? That front page picture for example. If that is the one we believe it is, the one that ANN had to takedown, than more and more the document resembles an attempted fraud on the court. What is the remedy for that?

Considering she actually did say she asked not to be assigned to Vic that particular year, for whatever reason, it would be hard to know that he deliberately lied as opposed to, for instance, just having a different memory of the situation, however bullshit what he actually said is.

I don't think there's a strong case for perjury there even though the guy is a lying sack of shit with a history of lying.

It is interesting, though, considering the plaintiff has to demonstrate malice, that their TCPA filing itself shows the very same reckless disregard for truth that is an element of actual malice.

I think it's a strong argument against the TCPA that these fucking slimy people even lie under oath without the slightest trace of embarrassment.

The remedy is sanctions for filing a frivolous motion to dismiss under the TCPA. If the judge rules it frivolous, which certainly could happen, although I have my doubts, that's going to be costly.

I don't really approve or like this one. I've been following Shayu for a while now, and I don't think he is what many of you think he is. He has Disassociative Identity Disorder, which means he has multiple personalities that are distinctly separate. They all have different opinions on the Vic case. While some of them are indeed kickvic, none rise to the level of hating Vic or being malicious. Sure, he's a bit of a lolcow, but I don't think he is in the way many lolcows are. He's just mentally ill. Besides his misfounded beliefs and sucking up to voice actors, he's a fine dude and I think this will affect him. He was originally Istandwithvic, but moved to kickvic after receiving hate from ISWV. Laugh at him, sure, but this isn't a malicious guy at all, just a dissociative with a comorbitality of autism.
