I started watching this and tried to keep an open mind and then the first bullshit out of the mouth of the new idiot in charge of Oberlin was that they were being held liable for the speech of students, which is so ludicrously and completely and utterly false that it isn't even a proper statement of opinion. It's simply a lie.

Oberlin was held liable because of the actions of its own agents and officers, not because they just supported the free speech rights of students. Oberlin itself joined in on the hateful and illegal campaign against an innocent family business based on pure lies.

Funimation itself has some things to answer for here, and it isn't just their wee innocent VAs. There's a vice principal of the corporation who has some things to answer for.

If anything would bring them in right now, it would be the Blackface Lawyer thing. MSM doesn't really give a shit about MeToo bull right now- they can't, not when Biden is looking like he might be what the Dems put forth as their candidate, and they're going to want to silence as much as they can about Creepy Uncle Joe. Right now, stories about women of a not white or asian ancestry being "told" to "go home" to their countries of ancestral origin is in vogue. Nothing about Weeb Wars helps them push the narrative about Trump being a super racist that wants to separate poor hispanic parents from their children, Janet Reno nabbing Elián González style.

I like to imagine that Vic's case will be ignored completely until it's too late, and starts to get brought up as an example in other cases of Men suing those that falsely accused and tried to ruin their lives.
