Probably cheating on his fiancée.
That's fair.

I'd love to bet you a buck that this isn't why a lot of Christians would be upset with Vic, though. At least, any of the ones that love crowing about being Christian. Just the cynic in me that has a feeling that a lot of them aren't as sexually pious as they'd love to make themselves out to be. (At least, in my history of knowing any who use it as a shoutbox)

The real underlying tragedy behind this story is that after everything is said and done, Vic will be completely willing to forgive all of his so-called former friends. I truly believe he really would.

But none of them will ever ask him for it.

A part of me hopes that Monica and Ron go on Nick's show to recant and apologize since he will be merciless and keep after them.

Infidelity is infidelity. Premarital sex is one thing, but cheating is pretty terrible because it involves a violation of intimate trust-- that's something that everyone can agree on, religious or not.

That said, I would imagine that anyone, most Christians included, wouldn't be presently concerned about his infidelity because 1) it's clear enough that he heavily regrets it, and 2) he's been accused without evidence of everything up to and including rape, which easily eclipses infidelity.

So I saw something about the TCPA being designed to try and ruin Vic's reputation. That would mean not only do the lawyers competently know they are going to lose, but so do Funimation, Rial, Toye, and Marchi did things so bad that their reputation is down in flames anyways. It's like saying people run towards enemy territory without a weapon expecting to make it across alive. As much exceptionalism has been displayed, I do not think all of them are that exceptional.

Also hi it's been a while. I guess I can give a little bit of a life lesson here: people like stories. There's good writers and there's bad writers. Good writers are people who use logic (even if fictional) and realism to weave something that people can connect with and understand. Bad writers care little about the flow and use elements that are popular and stimulating to garner attention and success. That may very well work in the short run and become a huge hit, but it quickly dies off. Good writers do it in a way that sticks and is remembered. That applies to anything. But let's just look at how things are right now.

We have the KickVic story which is this guy nobody heard of who is evil and creeps on children. Which that creepy look in pictures isn't helping him out. He's bullied and pushed around VAs and the entire industry for too long as he's too powerful. He-he rubbed Monica's legs when she didn't ask for it. He needs to be purged from the industry. He's so evil. We need to protect women from him. Look at what he's doing in all these pictures. Look at all these articles people are writing about him. It all has to be true. All these VAs are calling him out. Even all these lawyers say he has no case. Oh this battle isn't over yet. Monica and Rial will sue him to the ground.

Then we have ISWV:

Vic Mignona is an inspiration for many con goers. Tale after tale people have shared stories about this guy moving their lives through cons or simply the characters he voiced with all his passion. He is not "God" nor is he above any law. He makes mistakes just like the rest of us. He was accused of some radical actions and throughout all of this, he has remained calm, professional, and respectful. Any time a claim has been made, no evidence surfaces to back it up even though the accusers are adamant it exists. Fans of Vic are being lashed out against and being accused of actions they did not do as well. These people have proven time and time again they are malicious and liars. When they are given the option of a peaceful retreat, they spit at it and double down on their accusations doing anything and everything to remove him not just from anime, but from his fans. Thousands upon thousands are standing up and supporting him after listening to the story and seeing the truth with their eyes. Now we watch a man slowly try gaining back the reputation that was stripped away from him over lies and false accusations. Those who support him are caught in a crossfire of people doing everything in their power to burn and destroy him. These people most known for being called SJWs are sick and disgusting and unless they are fought at every corner, they will try destroying anyone who does not listen and believe in them. Vic is merely just a stepping stone in a grand conquest.

How many of you even remember the original KickVic story? I don't think they remember it either. Short burst actions only last for so long and if you do it too much, you've got nobody listening to you. The next phase is the blame game. We are about to enter it and it's going to be glorious seeing the parties fight each other tooth and nail just to survive. First one to settle walks away with their job still. It's just a bigger price tag than 5 or so months ago. Your life could literally be over and apparently defending yourself to be "right" is more important. I'd rather be falsely labeled a murder keeping my job then on the streets clearing my name.

The recent thread on the ANN forums was talking about it things like Stan's comments, Ahmed's arrest record, Erica contradicting him, and other stuff. Sounds like they're now trying to step in and play damage control to stamp that stuff out.

They're putting on the gloves to purge all the wrongthink.

The fuck is your income math doing? Low end of reasonable yields on capital is 2%, low end of your wealth estimate is $8MM, 2% of 8MM = $160k.
From a background in wealth management for high net worth individuals. A lot of these trusts tend to be low risk, low liquidity, long term investments meaning a lower, but steady ROI. There is also a portion of earnings that are not included in the “income” which are re invested into the trust for continued growth. Another part of that is withheld to keep parity with inflation. At every step as well there is a tax burden that has to be met. The gross amount you stated is probably about right depending on the year and what assets are in the trust, but with everything that either needs to be withheld or paid the net amount gets down to about the numbers I quoted. These trusts are designed for safety and security, not high ROI.

Now I will say my estimates were on the fairly conservative side as I don’t know what is in the trust. It could potentially be more, or it could be less.

What's going to be amusing is when all these so called moral crusaders abandon KickVic when it's no longer useful to them* Just like how no one gives a fuck about Johnny Depp or Geoffrey Rush anymore * and Rial and Marchi come to the cold realization they've destroyed their careers and reputations to get asspats from dopamine addicted internet shut ins.

"Company casts voice actress with Mignogna as her director MULTIPLE TIMES"
Shit like this displays how she just makes bold assertions with wrong information. Vic has only directed one anime called Juni Taisen, and one or two episodes of the show Claymore many years ago.

I doubt Vic will get Broly back, but he'll probably be free to work with Viz and Sentai or he could follow Laura Bailey into Western Animation/video games.
Doug has expressed interest in casting Vic and is keeping in communication with him, so western animation seems more likely.

The infidelity, and the 8 year long engagement to his fiance, are what made me think Vic did do something inappropriate at some point. In fact, I still believe there's too much smoke so there has to be a small fire somewhere in his past.

I'm pretty sure you can throw out the garbage about pedophilia, rape, sexual assault, harassment, homophobia, and anti-Semitism. A fan being uncomfortable about a hug/kiss is just going to happen; meet 10,000 fans, have 1% of meetings go wrong, and you get your "100 women" just as a margin of error.

He's admitted to infidelity, propositioning the twins, and pulling Marchi's hair, none of which are illegal/immoral, but they suggest the kind of incautious attitude that gets you that one legitimate skeleton in your closet. Like propositioning a girl who you thought was legal but was actually underage, or misreading a signal and grabbing someone's ass. I don't think he's done anything remotely near as bad as what he's been accused of, but you could probably unearth something he's legitimately sorry for.

The problem is his accusers are such exceptional liars, backstabbers, and dumbasses that I can't tell which accusation might be legitimate. The outrage mob amplifies every minute accusation, making them all sound suspect simply by their inclusion. ProTip: this is why you don't lie about sexual abuse, you idiots. This is why you don't listen and believe. Because it fucks up the reception for legitimate victims and the people trying to help them.

(ManJaw, I'm looking at you. You had the most likely reported/traceable accusations of the group, then spent the last few months lying so hard and so frequently I had to stop mocking Brianna Wu just to have time to process all your insane shit. The fall in credibility is amazing to behold.)

It reads like a pile of garbage. A real motion to dismiss just throws its hands in the air and asks where in the frivolous complaint the plaintiff states an actual cause of action. It's just literally, throw this thing out because wtf, nothing in here is actionable.

There is no way in reality that repeatedly and incessantly calling some innocent man a rapist, and causing him to get fired from his job and every other job he could conceivably ever get, isn't actionable.

Law Twitter can jerk itself off all they like, that is literally why defamation exists as a cause of action. Believe whammens all you like.

Eat a dick. Vic is badass. Even if he's a manlet.

Okay so that's a vote for yes and it's acceptable to use in regards to Vic, in your opinion.

Thank you for your input!

As for eating dicks, are you familiar with this practice? Should I anticipate a particular texture or flavor?

He denied the pulling part and Marchi mischaracterized that whole incident, which she personally and by her own admission initiated by hugging him in the first place. It's some weird SJW bullshit that if some chick randomly hugs you, you're apparently supposed to just stand there like a rock and do nothing or else you're a rapist. You're not allowed to respond affectionately.

Yeah thats pretty much near my thoughts. I have no doubts in my mind that at some point in time he has flirted with, or done something some might view as inappropriate when talking to the hotter % of his fans. Hes a male, surrounded by conSluts, nigga please. But none of that shit is illegal. Its certainly not rape, and certainly not pedophilia. I also don't think its a valid reason to have your life burned to the ground, especially if your company isn't even telling you in an official capacity to knock it the fuck off.

Side note: If a kiss on the cheek breaks you as a human, bitch you were already broken and just looking for a target.

Right, these people are high net worth, doesn't mean they can't be so exceptional as to not choose something that horribly underpeforms dumping it all in an S&P 500 index fund and spending approximately the dividend yield.

Oh man i cant wait for that to blow up, i forsee kickvic splitting into 2 groups soon, when dominique and crimson chin PepperMonster turning on Lynzee and co.

Ty's aristocratic Texas drawl is far more classy than the combination redneck twang/ghetto jive accent that Doucette has, so he has no room to talk (so to speak).

He honestly reminds me of Ryan Reynolds with the way he talks, his facial expressions, his body movements. Except he's a total douchebag.

I'm pretty sure Monica has directed several shows with Vic performing in them; perhaps that's what she meant? Though I suppose that doesn't really logically lead to the conclusions, does it?
