They are getting quite a bit off flack:
Some are upset due to the usual reasons
Fox News is using it to one up CNN (you call us racist but look you’re the real racist)

And the National review is just confused simply giving the event an “and?” (probably had the best coverage by virtue of only giving two paragraphs to this dying gasp for attention)

The left wing outlets are interviewing him and not the right wing ones because the left wants to associate the entire right with white nationalism, and can frame the interview as " a talk with avid supporter of white supremacy, Richard Spencer, who is your typical, average republican".

The right doesn't want to be linked to him, or accused of promoting him, so they ignore him.

Same reason this site has massive threads on most left wing lolcows and small ones on most right wing ones, with a few exceptions like Carl Benjamin. Drawing attention to the other side's tards while trying to ignore your own is a standard tactic.

There is a connection, but it is that the interests of gays tend to be aligned with that of the propertied classes, rather than being independent of conflicting class interests. First, the literature on class attitudes to homosexuality shows that working class people are more likely to be hostile to it, and people from higher social classes more likely to be favourable or tolerant towards it [1][2]. Second, published data shows that gay couples are, on average, significantly better off than straight ones. On both attitudinal grounds and economic grounds therefore, the gay straight polarisation axis, rather than being independent of the class polarisation axis turns out to be tilted with respect to it.

That's very interesting, thank you for sharing. Anecdotal observation, but historically speaking it seems like societies that were more accepting of male homosexuality were also quite misogynistic. That's part of the overall fallacy of intersectional politics, women and gay men don't necessarily have a mutual benefit by campaigning against society together. In fact, the opposite would almost make more sense to me. Women's rights and acceptance of male homosexuality are by no means codependent political stances.

I was recently rereading the first pages of this thread and there was a period in time during summer (late June to early August) last year where he didn't post at all. He's probably just on vacation

His last 5 videos were almost entirely about him being transgender, with the last 2 being especially insane and incoherent. I know his cult has an interest in presenting him as making "good points", but it's pretty hard for any sane, rational person to see that. I think that's why leftist news outlets are going so hard on making him seem legitimate. Because anybody outside the "uwu thigh socks and communist programming" crowd will just see an incredibly self-obsessed man.

It's funny to see people making cat videos regularly dwarfing him in terms of subscribers in views.
