Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I'm of two minds on this.

One is that he very likely gave her an STD from raw dogging random conthots (or consluts as lemoine prefers) and then her, unbeknownst to her. IMO if its a serious and incurable STD, that's 100% worth hating someone forever and shitting on them even when they're being lied about (as long as you don't also lie about them).

Two, is assuming she found out he was fucking random consluts with daddy issues, and she didn't drop him, she loses in my mind, some entitlement to righteous indignation for it. Unless she didn't get a disease from it prior to finding out, and then did after. But again, you know the dude's banged sluts with no rubber and then come home to you, by forgiving him, you're well aware that they might do it again. The old fool me once shame on you.

Even given point 2 I'm unwilling to be too harsh on her. I think she's a dumbass for staying with someone who cheated on her (again, this is assuming she found out, forgave him, and then the behavior continued), but even if you're a dumbass getting wronged is still getting wronged.

There's no way she wouldn't have added getting an STD to her affidavit if it happened. That's something 'awful' and would be something they could tout as well as making herself an actual victim of something prove-ably shitty as a result of Vic's shitty behavior on that front. If it happened she'd have shared it with relish to be weaponized, so not likely.

Michelle's affidavit reads like she knew what he was like and was pissed off that she couldn't change him. A very common theme in the ending of relationships.

I occasionally watched YF pre-Vic, but he's mostly comics based and I'm not really into those. I only watch Herohei's not-Nick content. But really, they have their audiences and purposes. They punch up information into entertaining bites that casual passersby will read, they can make references that people understand (that Nick doesn't), and they have shorter videos than Nick ever bothers to do anymore.

Plus, they shift Kickvic attention away from Nick. Same with Supergirl. They're so busy seething at the inflammatory content those guys make they still haven't successfully doxed Nick. And they have their own fan bases that they spread their opinions to and keep people charged up about even on days Nick isn't talking about Vic. They're also less technical, so people who might glaze over trying to listen to legal jargon still get the important bits. True, if you watch Nick you pretty much have no reason to watch any of the others aside from the odd time they break some news instead (like Supergirl's deep dives and whatnot) but if you don't choose to watch Nick, or if you fall behind and don't want to watch 20 hours of livestreams to catch up, they serve their purpose in all their different flavors.

They also provide a supporting cast, so that Nick avoids the image of only interacting with people who disagree with him and think he's wrong/dumb. With TUG/HH/YF popping up on his streams, even if they don't contribute much, it still establishes to casuals that 'yeah, it's more than just me, Nick, and those weirdos in the twitter hashtag that think Vic is innocent and has a chance'. That's especially useful when Ren flings her anti-CG goons at people or the super lawyer legion descends.

Those other lesser known YTers are also useful, because as dumb and clickbaity as the videos may be, the more creators make ISWV content and cater to that audience, the less chance kickvic has to grip the narrative via youtube. KV will be choked out. And studios/companies will notice that, too.
I was debating making exactly this post when I found this. I personally only came to follow the Vic situation thanks to the people taking the content from nick's streams and reformatting them for circulation to wider and less dedicated audience. My first was a compilation of clips of Nick destroying Holmberg that appeared in my recommended one day; that got me to watch some Hero Hei, followed by the replay of Hero Hei and Nick discussing Rooster Teeth, followed further by the first stream I watched live being the first Beard interview. Previous to the compilation I had just heard of Vic's metooing in passing, a headline here, a comment there. Nothing really substantial. In an afternoon however, I went on a dive of creators that lead me to Nick. An algorithm of smaller YTers got me here, and Nick's dedication and careful work kept me here. So while their stuff is quite chopped down and simplified, clickbatey to please the algorithm, it is a great way to ease people into the whole conflict rather than dropping a 4 hour livestream by a lawyer reading legal documents on their head.

(Seriously think about that, if you told me back in January that I'd be watching, along with well over 10 000 people at 3AM, a lawyer commentate on a deposition recording I would have looked at you funny.)

Woke up today to
I might be autistic here but this dude is annoying 2:15 minutes of babble before his intro for another 1:05 minutes of babble, subscribe etc.. to then watch about 4 minutes of his last stream and then a minute of the deposition we already saw a week ago and then ends with 4 minutes of ramblin on why its so sad to lose vic to hit that sweet sweet 10 minute mark so he can add his 3 ads then adds buffer on his outro, this is amazing.

also that title lmao.

Only some of us are autistic enough to have dropped directly into Nick voids without that ease in. But I had experience dealing with the Kimberlin RICOsuits and the Schmalfeldt LOLSUITS previously so it was old hat to me.

Although I did get the pleasure of confusing the hell out of one of my MMORPG friends when she asked what I was doing up so late at night and I told her I was getting ready to watch a live stream going over legal documents. The puzzlement was choice.

This worthless whore is going to judge?

Edit: Someone needs to reply to the thread before I accuse you all of fapping to this goblin.
$10 for a "literal who" ~15min amateur porn?

She does know the internet exists right, with free porn everywhere? She does know that you have to be semi-famous to even consider making people pay for porn... She does know cottage cheese incarnate isn't an officially recognized genre right?

They also forgot lay low. I forgot the progress of how Harvey Weinstein fell, but if the first #MeToo is any indication, the next steps would be blacklisting, shutting out, and advancing to clean up the rest of the industry. Is it really this predictable?
"Hire a PR firm."

"That didn't work."

"Has he tried d y i n g?"
Has Vic ever really shown suicidal tendencies? Was this really a possibility?

Nick has mentioned on a few streams that the way that these people went about their attacks, ie isolating Vic from his fans, was apparently tailored to be the worst gut punch possible for Vic and his character and personality. Vic also mentioned in the depo that he went onto anti-depressents and counseling for what happened. So going off these two points its not impossible, but certainty not enough to confirm.

Either way, its still shitty in the extreme.

In his depo he says he's been taking Anti Depressants

The defense that "these guys bring more people to keep up with the Vic drama" dwindles more and more

They don't seem to understand that Vic can only win from the lawsuit. If he loses he's not much worse off than before.

But oh boy... If he wins, he gets a chunk of money, reputational vindication, and the possibity of work again. Oh, and sees the people who tried to destroy him ruined

Try losing your job and connection to your fans because people you considered friends for years are accusing you of being a rapist/sexual assaulter/pedophile. You'll be sitting there with nothing but your thoughts for a fair few days while your twitter mentions fill up with people dragging your name and all you've worked for through the mud, after all that dying doesn't seem all that bad.

If you want to see how much this fucked him up at the start go look at some of his unlocked streams from Feb-April, he looked like he'd not ate or slept well in weeks. He's also admitted to taking anti depressants and not being able to cope with it when it all started.
