in a duet with Nathan Sharp, who apparently got caught making false rape accusations a year or so ago
Natewantstobattle? Wait someone made accusations against him or he made a false accusation? Also funny you should bring him up, he's the one performing the Dub opening theme for the universe survival arc
or he wanted the opportunity to squeeze in a TFS member as Broly
Explained later on, I really doubt they could've gotten away with this given what a big hate boner they have for TFS. Also I doubt Sabat or whoever at Funi would immediately put them in a starring role. They'd give it to another VA (like Sabat)
A much earlier (circa Kamehacon) video had Nick hinting that Sabat had refused to cast some women who wouldn't have sex with him. He's never backed that claim up though, and basically never talks about it. It's been suggested and theorized that the woman in question was Nadolny, but since she's kickvic, it's hard to say.
I think why he never brought it up is because he couldn't verify it or he was implying that he doesn't know if it does happen, but there are scenarios around Sabat that indicate that might be.
I'm confused. Why is kickvic dragging up a niche anime? Does it have some relevance? Are they really still that butthurt that one mangaka decided to just man up and follow through on the incest instead of flirting with it and then making a flimsy excuse about how it doesn't count? It didn't even get a dub because people got so pissy about it. How is it relevant?
The Japanese are weird, either that or they're way ahead of their time. Plenty of good things get pissed on because of that.
uh oh
Did hanleia just pussy out.
And completely destroy funimations TCPA claiming hanleai was the reason the investigation over vic mignogna started
LOL. Probably doesn't want to go to court and explain to everyone about exactly why she didn't like Vic.
They might be able to do extra voices in DB, but no way Toei would let a TFS member play Broly with how asshurt they are about the abridged series.
Toei will for sure never let TFS voice any character that VA had voiced before, but it's possible they might be allowed as another character. Toei hasn't stopped Funimation from casting multiple TFS members as custom voices in Xenoverse games yet. That said, I remember people saying Japan demanded Vic to be cast as Broly again, so regardless even if Sabat had hoped to give them Broly, Toei clearly didn't go along with that.
KaiserNeko is a random Frieza soldier in Resurrection F.
Quite surprised to hear that and that he was part of that fake cell re-enactment too, but yeah, Toei *really* doesn't like them. A shit load of their episodes got copy struck last year or the year before leaving their entire channel fucked for a while.
The last few videos for DBZA have been pretty hot and cold
Lol. That's a mild way of putting it. That 3 parter for episode 60 was probably the only good work they've put out in a while. That Dbz Kai abridged episode was shit IMO compared to their previous work
Going to be interesting to see if they say anything about daddy Sabat when his role in the Vic saga is revealed, especially with all the skeletons that are apparently hiding in his closet (if Nick's blueballing is to be believed).
They won't say shit about it because per their social media appearance, they support victims but don't want to take a stance on the whole thing. Basically, they're kickvic but trying to pretend otherwise. It's been established. Further I think their chichi VA had a sperg out and accidentally revealed she was kickvic last month or earlier this month. I glossed over it in my feed but I think Senpaiishome and Emosh tweeted about it.
The Broly Movie meme came from people ignoring that they make the movies in order and constantly demanding that they skip right to Broly. (That, and I think Lanipator is part of the half of the fandom that just hates pre-Super Broly)
All of the DB content creators hate pre super Broly because
1) he's voiced by vic (and we know what their take on him is),
2) he very neatly summarizes Dragon Ball in his characater (beefy characters fucking the shit out of everyone and having weird and cool transformations)
and
3) per 2, they try to vehemently disagree that that's what dragon ball is about (despite it absolutely being the case, just with martial arts sprinkled in). Also because this is what 99% of the Dub community believes DB is about, and the content creators are sub elitists trying to pretend like they didn't grow up on the Funimation and Ocean dubs.
They'll almost certainly not say a single thing about Sabat unless Vic comes in and becomes the new Don or something. Even if Sabat gets knocked off his perch, they exist on Funi's whim and it's in their best interest to always stay on Funimation's good side.
At the end of this, Vic will not take over Sabat's role as Don. As unfortunate as it may be, if you look and pay attention to vic you can see that's not what the guy is about. Also he won't have that kind of pull with funimation because he doesn't have his own studio like Sabat does.
You can argue that he can open his own studio (which, again, I doubt he will) and get all the business, but Sabat probably has a monopoly of all things VA in Texas atm. Not to mention alot of the guys giving him work really don't give two shits if Sabat tried to sabotage vic. Most of them are on Sabat's side. Prime example, Funimation.
There's still a better than average chance the waves of this lawsuit will wash TFS away by the end of this.
Probably not if they aren't involved in any way or if they're smart. We all know what they're really like, but the more stupid fans might be swayed by their "we don't have a stance" statement. Likewise, these stupid fans could also be swayed if they release a statement about just how "sorry" they feel for vic, should all of Sabat's shit go public.
Not worked up in the slightest, guess I'm just fed up with the "making youtube videos is soooooo hard you guys, I'm totally depressed again!" spiel that comes out of every bigger youtuber's mouth at least once a year.
Although it might be justified in some cases, it's sad that YT has become a job now rather than a hobby for alot of people.
The issue is not making the videos, the issue is trying to keep your view and sub counts stable or increasing. The real test is whether you're quick and smart enough to adapt your content to keep your viewers sufficiently entertained. Pewdiepie is probably a good example for this. His content keeps changing. When he first started out he did games, then he did comedy skits, then he was a commentary Channel, heck, up until about a month back he was all about Memes and now he's doing minecraft vids
