On a quick ten second read, I think he's saying he wasn't actually kidnapped by ninjas from the maternity ward, sold to gypsies, then molested by a giant cancerous tumor shaped like Alex Trebek for most of his childhood. He made that up. Of course, I didn't read the whole thing.

This is the only part that stuck out, when this person is talking about an argument with the call-outee:

The actual format of tumblr blogs/whatevers prevented me for a long time from even realizing these nuts were serious. I'd occasionally see stuff transplanted from tumblr into cringe threads, usually so extreme and stupid that I just assumed it was trolls manufacturing these things. Surely, nobody actually acted this way. I think it was looking at cuteosphere/dragondicks and associates that I realized holy fuck, these people are serious.

I think the sheer aesthetic horror of tumblr may serve to drive away most sane people. It's not merely the words on the page that are offensive and crazy looking. It's the format, the look and feel, that is like listening to a symphony of a dozen people dragging their fingernails down a blackboard. Over and over again.

I find my eyes glazing over even trying to read this crap. Why does it look so BAD? Why is this popular?

It's not mere ugliness. I've spent a fair amount of time on *chans of various kinds, and they're generally pretty ugly. But at least you can read enormous amounts of (usually godawful) text in a legible font at absurd speeds, pick a theme that fits your ambient lighting, add custom CSS, etc. I can't imagine ever willingly spending any amount of time on tumblr.

To be fair, most users spend their time on the dashboard, where the formatting is much easier to read. So they're looking at updates on people's blogs in chronological order like this:

I think the reason why people's blogs tend to be so unreadable is that when you follow a blog, the updates come up on your dash, so there's no need to go to the page.

Which means a lot of users just go nuts with the kawaii pastel designs. It's purely aesthetic.

It's because they don't ask for feedback from friends and followers when they make a new code. I had three of my friends (all with varrying resolutions and different browsers) to check out my blog when I was remaking it to see if the text was eligible or if on certain browsers there was errors.
But the worst kind of tumblr blogs are either
1) Neon on Neon or Pastel colors ('CAUSE DAS KAWAII!!)
2)Too much shit is going on. too many images/GIFs, a new mouse cursor sparkly backgrounds that all horribly lag things.

But loving the attention whoring Vade.

OH GOD I actually used to be friends with that Maxie person. She was nice and all to start and we got on well enough, played video games together, that sort of thing. She was also all buddy-buddy with Vade and I thiiiiinnnkkk that's part of why she got all up on the self-diagnosing nounself otherkin train. Our friendship began to grow strained because I simply grew tired of her becoming another one of Tumblr's Typicals. That bitdeer person mentioned was an abusive asshole granted Maxie is quite a piece of work herself. Didn't think I would see that name start popping up in this thread, granted if you wanna think of it that whole group is just one big collective lolcow.

All in all though yeah they're both shitty people.

I don't understand how people who are literally just months away from my age act like such children like it actually baffles me.

EDIT: Also that plantb-skin is just bitdeer's new blog. Friends of Vade. Same behaviours of ducking behind self-diagnosed mental illnesses to excuse their shitty actions - NICE ONE. That's how they acted in the past at least. Maybe give the benefit of the doubt and say they've improved?? Maybe.

Sorry for the double post here but honestly looking through Jay's blog I honestly think that they have improved for the better. Still associating with Vade which is honestly just nails on a chalkboard in my brain but the rest? They largely seem like they recognize, apologize, and have set aside their previous abusive behaviour. So hey! Maybe not all is lost on that one. Maxie's still a piece of shit though. :v

oh yeah, jay. they're cool. i talked to them actively for a while, theyre pretty ok. i do remember them yelling and throwing shit about maxie for a little bit..
