For years, people kept their mouths shut about various stupid shit that the snowflake set were pulling exactly because they didn't want to make mountains out of molehills and have someone call them whatever name that was popular for "exceptional" that year.

So what was the result? The exceptionals just kept ramping their shit up, leading to the false accusations, milkshaking et all we have today. Now IF TUG faked this, which I personally doubt very much, he'll eventually trip himself up as all exceptionals eventually do...and end up with federal charges, big fines, possible jail time and his entire life destroyed. But IF he's on the level, which I think he is, then getting this shit out there is EXACTLY what he should be doing so that other normies can get their own heads out of their collective asses and see the dangers of these ANTIFA types for what they are. Because NOT getting it out there is simply repeating the very mistakes that allowed the dipshits to take the power they have.

To them it's on about the same level as littering in terms of moral outrage generated. Even knowing that penalty for what happened to TUG's mailbox, I can't even get worked up about it, and most people don't realize how much trouble they could get into for damaging/destroying a mailbox because most people equate it with the kind of innocent prank school boys might play.

What you don't do is remain silent. You contact the relevant authorities and provide them with the information. But running out into public and screaming about how much of a victim you are (even if you really are one) is just stupid. If people are fucking with you, it only lets them know that they're getting to you and worse yet tips them off to how you're responding. If TUG had just documented it, fixed up his mailbox, and set a camera on it, he might have caught the same idiot doing it again. This of course assumes he didn't do it himself, but the point still stands.

If it keeps happening and the government isn't doing anything, then come out with all of the evidence three months later and show the documentation that's been submitted. People are far more inclined to believe you when you come out with a story about something that's been ongoing and you can show proof of that as well as any reports you've filed with relevant authorities. You also look at lot more mature for not immediately running screaming to internet for attention or pity bucks.

Completely this. It's a federal offense so there's a (pathetic) thrill associated with pulling it off, but it's petty and nonviolent enough that they won't lose sleep over it. All I can say is that keeping quiet for months results in people thinking "Why TF didn't Monica say anything before now?" And we do that often. People have the attention span of a deer tic and giving an SJW three or whatever months of free reign is a bad idea. Look at the damage KicVic has done to various people in the past three months alone. How many tens of thousands of dollars have their actions cost? How many police reports, court actions etc have their jihads resulted in?

If people are shelling out pity bux just to virtue signal themselves, they are as big a fool as any SJW.
If they are sending cash to a scam, they have that choice. If they are sending these guys cash because it's the only way to get a point across, then so be it.
