Respectfully, I don't believe that TUG shilling his comic is quite the same as setting up a GFM for hurt feelings. If TUG felt like it, right now, he could put up a fundraiser for diaper money and be rolling in the dough because of it, and very few people would care what he did with the "I hate SJWs" dosh. But he's offering something instead. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's not throwing in every cent that isn't going to his two artists right back into the books themselves, but fact of the matter is, he's not keeping it all. We wanna talk about the pros and cons of outrage marketing, that's another subject altogether.TUG keeps making mistakes. Renfamous and company goaded him into confirming his dox. Nobody would have known wtf they were talking about if he hadn't pointed it out. That encouraged a bunch of people to put Matt Lewis (the actor) in their Twitter handles and to post pictures of his family. He was was probably frustrated at being helpless to stop it so he made himself a victim to get back at them. He would have more credibility if he wasn't doing the, "I've been doxed. I need your money" shtick that so many of these people like to do.

For those who are thinking that this is all happening now because drama has slowed down, I would also like to respectfully disagree, because that implies that all TUG does is weeb shit. It's a lot of what he's being neurotic about right now, but he's also deeply ingrained in Comicsgate. Which is going through stupid amounts of drama at the moment. Like, actually costing EVS money amounts of drama. Like, running off perpetually nice guy Edwin Boyette amounts of drama. If the man wanted to dip his toes to get drama clicks, there are plenty of other options.
There are ways that TUG's handling this that, definitely, watching from the outside, I think aren't the best. I would put forth, however, that he's a man that's wife is about to pop out a baby in a matter of days, which is always stressful even without the woman having a history of issues with birthing. The same people who've gone out of their way to look up personal information on other CG folk's kids- Ya Boi's in particular- have "made jokes" about calling CPS, whether they actually did or not, and they wouldn't just come to take his five year old if they did (and you might as well flip a fucking coin on that one, the way that CPS works, especially in rural, poor areas), they'd also take the newborn. The same people that swatted Boyette and Peter Semeti- a guy who isn't even CG, but just the owner of a company that simply refused to talk shit about potential customers. You add in how they've ramped up in aggression since the Weeb stuff started with their doxing attempts and threats of suing people, and I'm thinking he's not going to exactly be as calm, cool, and collected as he should be when dealing with this.
I'd also like to point out, whether this is real or not- I personally don't believe he'd call in the cops or would be able to get his five year old to lie convincingly enough to pull off a gay op like this, but that's me and you do you-, it's getting attention. From some people with big followings. The Quartering's talking about it. Sinatra Says said that he'd do a video on it. It got a passing mention by Styxhexenhammer666. You add up all their viewers together, that's around 1,131,000 people's eyes who might turn towards TUG, ask what he did that would make someone want to come after him in such a way, and find out that there are people who are mad at him because they don't want to stand up for due process and think being told that they shouldn't call actual and potential customers sexist racists Nazis. That's a whole bunch of eyes that might potentially decide to add in a few bucks to Vic's sweet, sweet Warchest to help spite fund it. Which will make the Fuhrer cry.

From most likely to least likely
1- local teenagers TUG is mistakenly crediting with kickvic behavior
2- KV or ACG miscreant in the area causing trouble
3- TUG vandalizing his own stuff to provoke a reaction from KV/ACG
Incidentally, TUG shouldn't have said it was a bat. He didn't see what happened, he doesn't know how they knocked his mailbox off. Why commit to a detail that can be nitpicked? Poor choice.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it already slightly damaged and TUG put duck tape on there to repair it?
Maybe some teen saw that it was already damaged and decided to hit it since it was an easy target?

This is the most likely scenario in my opinion. His mailbox got vandalized really shortly after his dox, but there's nothing to indicate in it that it was ACG/KV. Why knock the mailbox down when you could spray paint it with 'smelly racist' instead? Can't get woke points from your friends if they don't know to take credit.

Why do people have such an astronomical problem with just ignoring their dox? All you're doing is telling people to come look at your dox who would never have known it existed, and encouraging the behavior by giving a reaction the person wanted to see.

That is assuming that some people aren't using the moment of spotlight for gain. Look at the twins, they ignored their dox.
But look at Renfamous, TUG, and even some people who are begging to be doxxed.
Those people have a reason they want to be doxxed, and it's because it gets more attention to them. Truly is amazing when people who thrive and make a living of trying to be a public figure get so alligator-triggered when their public info is made more public.

That's true, there are a fair number of people who do ignore it. Like some of the people assumed not to know they've been doxed may just be doing the smart thing and ignoring it. I suppose it's less that people can't ignore their dox and more that they're faking outrage for attention.

There's a difference when someone who's totally unaware of the situation being doxxed and suddenly getting inundated with messages from sperging loons.
And taking photos of a broken mailbox and screaming at the clouds because it happened after some blue haired cyberwhale shared your name.
Not gonna call this a case of jewish lightning, but it's getting mighty cloudy outside and that insurance policy is looking mighty good right about now.

I think TUG was justifiably paranoid due to his dox following them going after his kids via CPS already, and it may have been a coincidence, but the SJWs would never let a good coincidence / victimhood narrative go to waste, so I can't fault him for a) freaking out a bit b) using said coincidence.
