Why are black Christian preachers so often race baiters on Twitter?

You'd think supposed men of an explicitly not-race specific god in the modern day would be less inclined to think in racial terms.

And then one day, for no reason at all, the national spotlight was thrown over Baltimore. How many people honestly knew how bad it was there two days ago compared to how many people know today? They're about to get yet another long, hard demonstration of the Streisand Effect while they're leaping up onto their soap boxes to scream about the safety and diversity in a city utterly plagued with violence and political corruption.

Have you ever seen The Wire...you gotta watch it!

Same people who don't understand where the inspiration for The Wire came from and The Corner. It is unreal that people watched a depiction of the actual crime and blight in Baltimore for years and can't grapple with the fact that parts of Baltimore are worse.

The balls on this president!

Trump always seemed pretty open to people and has been picked apart by the press for what 40 years now? Why can't these people ever produce a legitimate-unaltered-quote that proofs that dRumpfler is everything they say?

Trump is literally Hitler pt. 2467896567

Every racial supremacist movement has both other races it declares as inferior to it and at least one race that it declares as inferior but that has somehow seized control over the world from the proper master race, allowing members of said master race or simply those who support said master race to avoid responsibility for all the bad things in the world and explain why they just can't seem to get everything working right.

For white supremacists and Arab supremacists, that race is typically Jews. For most other racial supremacists (like Dan here, who to play the averages probably longs for the meaty cocks of his black overlords), that race is white people.

(Also it was nine years before Hitler started shit the last time these idiots used this argument, guess they realized that wasn't exactly a strong argument for Trump not getting a second term.)

Oh. That one actually slipped under my radar at the time. Apparently just before Trump kicked off this slap-fight with Cummings, Barr had already sent the Feds into Baltimore the same way that Sessions had sent them into Chicago to deal with the violent criminals by cloths-lining them with Federal charges instead of leaving the prosecution up to these useless "revolving-door" politics. Sure is awfully lucky that Trump just happened to drag this all into the national spotlight not even a few weeks after this press release, huh?

Lucky guy, that Trump.

So listen up you guys... seriously, this time I'm absolutely positive Br'er Trump really DOESN'T want to be tossed the briar patch. I know everytime for the past three years he's begged and pleaded with us not to toss him in the briar patch, and every single time its been to his benefit when we did so, but THIS time we've got him.

Hey Rob, remember when Al Sharpton literally instigated pogroms in NYC?
I remember when Al Sharpton encouraged people to "Go out there and off pigs." Apparently I'm not the only one who remembers that, either. I can't believe that he's getting all of these people to effortlessly rally up behind all of these racist hucksters to defend all of these inner-city crap-heaps without a single one of them stopping to think about it, first. He clearly wants everyone to rally up around Baltimore and dig themselves in, and that's exactly what every single one of them is doing, unquestioningly.

We're watching him build up the scaffolding for his 2020 election in real-time and none of them can see it happening. He built almost his entire campaign in 2016 around repairing the damage done to fly-over states and reviving Middle America because they'd been so cast aside and ignored by the coastal elites. His 2020 campaign is rapidly building itself up to focus on the inner cities and all of the people there--especially the minority communities-- that have been completely ignored and exploited by these elites for decade after decade.

He wants them all to bunker down around these places just so that every single person gets a good, hard look at how badly these people have failed the inner cities because there's no fucking excuse for the state that they're in, and how do the elites and the white, East Coast Liberals respond? By telling all of these black Americans to shut up and just deal with the fact that they're living in crime-riddled, rat-infested cities.

Welcome to Trump's 2020 campaign, everyone.

Are there enough black votes in swing states to make this work?
It depends on if his pivot costs him anything along his existing supporters. As long as they don't think he's abandoning them or compromising their interests, it could work.

After all, if that's the case, then he doesn't even need to make significant gains among black voters. All he has to do is get the Democrats to spend a bunch of money and focus defending this attack.

The Upper Midwest/Rust Belt has quite a large minority of black people, as does Virginia, North Carolina, really the entirety of the South.
Once you get into the West with Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico you get the same dynamic but with Hispanics instead.
So yes the answer is more than enough.

This isn't even really a pivot as much as it's opening a new front to fight the Dems on. And it does them no favors, as @It's HK-47 notes. All eyes on how much these Democrat strongholds are third world shitholes.

The Dems are desperate to make this a racism issue because if blacks start looking around -- even just one in ten -- and asking, 'Saaaay, why are my niggas and I livin' in this crap?', their election campaigns get that much more tense.

Welcome to Trump's 2020 campaign, everyone.

Sunday I have a phone call with my dad. We chat, we'll watch the same show and discuss(lot of miles between us) and we were watching some thing on Trump. He is right leaning so we don't usually debate but there are a lot of things he misses and I said this very thing to him last night. I said something like:

In one Tweet Trump managed to put the eyes of the county on the blight of a city that has been largely covered up by the party that has continually promised to fix it while leeching everything it can from the people essentially trapped there...it was genius.

The point being that every time one of these exceptional leftists calls Trump a racist over this tens of thousands of people look and of those people a thousand might find those videos of people documenting on video that yes this is happening and yes we want better.

My hot take: This is a Bernie Assassination.

Bernie is a spineless cuck, an utter moron, and a leech who's never held an honest job. But he talks a good populist socialist rhetoric; I believe he does honestly want to make the country better, and just doesn't understand his retarded proposals will make it worse.
That could be enough to possibly suck out Trump's flyover base, as they see him as a less polarizing figure to improve the economy and fix jobs/infrastructure.

I haven't been following the pre-primary, since 2016 taught us modern polls are fucking worthless and more about pushing a narrative than actually find gauging public opinion, so I'm not even sure if Bernie will need to be cheated out the nomination this cycle, but he'd make a good pick for VP;
I said before I don't think Warren would drop her senate seat for a sear in the #2 chair, but Bernie is old and probably ready to retire from public life soon, so going out at VP might be an attractive option. Bernie campaigning as VP in middle america could swing some voters.

Trump has sapped whatever momentum Bernie has, ensuring the rest of the crabs of in the DNC primary bucket know how to pull him down, and has made him toxic as a VP pick, purposely tilting his hand and saying "You pick Bernie, this is what I'm going to meme against you".

Busting Cumming's balls is just a nice bonus, and I'm expecting some fun announcements about the raids and investigation into the Mayor as well.

Thanks you for a little better explanation. I don't agree with the everything, but I hadn't looked at it as trying to escape a lifetime of abuse, with the same problems as if you're trying to escape a domestic abuse partner.

And the one thing I hadn't considered: Fear of the unknown.

Better the devil you know, I guess.

Edit: The domestic abuse angle makes a lot of sense. Growing up your whole life hearing how the only people who care about you are Democrats, that you're lucky that the Democrats love you or you'd have it even worse, hearing nothing but how outside your zone is Republicans who will hang you or otherwise brutalize you if it wasn't for Daddy Democrat watching over you, I can understand it a little better.

They'd be giving up the protection of the Democratic government. I don't look down on anyone for Food Stamps, Sect-8, TANF, I get it that sometimes you're at rock bottom and need help making till you can get a job. And if that's all you've known then the idea of taking control of your own destiny, even if you sat down and went over the pros and cons and how you could do it and what would stop you, would seem like a Herculean task.

And the fact that people won't let you move beyond your past any more is just fucking wrong. Vanishing and starting over requires effort now. That having done time in prison isn't "They paid their debt to society" any more and more "a leapord can't change its spots" eternal punishment.

I'd never looked at from that angle. I'd always looked at it as "It's scary, it's risky, but I ain't living here no more".

Thanks for the explanation.

It fucking worked great. Thanks for the couple months late advice.

The fact it had turned into a shithole, where I had no power to change anything because the people with the power wanted it to REMAIN a shithole, and I ended up disenfranchised, living somewhere where it rained ash for 30 days and 30 nights, the water had gone bad, the bills and taxes were rising for no return, and the homeless from CA were making it dangerous just to go to the grocery store.

So I left. I packed up everything that fit in the truck, sold/gave away/threw away the rest, tossed the family in the truck, and left.

It's worked great.

Just like when the mill shut down and I left 15 years before with nothing more than what I could fit in a fucking hatchback.
Why aren't you a millionare? Just secure some fucking venture capital, start a few shell companies, start moving money around, and be rich? Must be because you're a lazy asshole.

Kinda like the humanitarian crisis at the border, or the humanitarian crisis that is the journey. "No, Mr President, half the women aren't raped, two thirds of them are!"

Unlike anyone else, he's actually solving that through making Mexico uphold it's asylum duties and maintaining a strong and consistent stance of enforcing the fucking laws.

Now that they have abandoned the white working class to the wrong side of history, the Democrat national electoral strategy relies on the black vote to push them over the edge in swing states and the now-destroyed Blue Wall of the Upper Midwest. To see a visual representation of this, check out a map of precincts by election results. You can reliably identify black parts of East Coast, Southern and Midwest cities by the swaths of precincts that voted 90%+ for Hillary. Thanks to changing demographics, this strategy is viable as we saw in 2008 and 2012. That is as long as the opposition doesn’t fight back on this front. In the pre-Trump era, Democrats could be assured that Republicans would shrink and capitulate at even the suggestion that they might be racist, and even now this is still a weakness. But if the GOP can get even a few percentage points of inner city blacks to switch sides or just not show up, the path to electoral victory becomes considerably more difficult for the Democrats. Trump is attempting to exploit this weakness in the Dems strategy, and all they can do in response is sputter and whine.
