Now that is interesting. Cummings' district, MD-7, all by itself was given nearly 16 billion dollars in Federal grants in 2018 alone. That''s not even all of Baltimore, that's just a wedge of Baltimore and then some bullshit outside of it. What the Hell was that money used for? It sure as shit didn't go into any of the schools or infrastructure or clean-up efforts in his district.

Is this some kind of money laundering scam that is being uncovered here?

People have opinions on cases. So what?

People have opinions on the JonBenet Ramsey case.
People have opinions on the OJ Simpson case.
People have opinions on the Casey Anthony case.
People have opinions on the Jodi Arias case.
People have opinions on the Trayvon Martin case.
People have opinions on the Central Park Five case. Donald Trump is one of those people.

I. Don't. Give. A. Fuck.

Dude i just wanted to know the context of the claim...no need to freak out.

When did trump call for the execution of 5 black guys?
Might be a reference to Barr reactivating the federal death penalty and setting dates for five assholes to meet their maker. Out of the five guys, three are white, one's black, and one is ... fucked if I can tell. Asian/Filipino or something.

Here's the rapsheets courtesy of Miguel at gunfreezone.
1) Daniel Lewis Lee, a member of a white supremacist group, murdered a family of three, including an eight-year-old girl. After robbing and shooting the victims with a stun gun, Lee covered their heads with plastic bags, sealed the bags with duct tape, weighed down each victim with rocks, and threw the family of three into the Illinois bayou. On May 4, 1999, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas found Lee guilty of numerous offenses, including three counts of murder in aid of racketeering, and he was sentenced to death. Lee’s execution is scheduled to occur on Dec. 9, 2019.

2) Lezmond Mitchell stabbed to death a 63-year-old grandmother and forced her nine-year-old granddaughter to sit beside her lifeless body for a 30 to 40-mile drive. Mitchell then slit the girl’s throat twice, crushed her head with 20-pound rocks, and severed and buried both victims’ heads and hands. On May 8, 2003, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona found Mitchell guilty of numerous offenses, including first degree murder, felony murder, and carjacking resulting in murder, and he was sentenced to death. Mitchell’s execution is scheduled to occur on Dec. 11, 2019.

3) Wesley Ira Purkey violently raped and murdered a 16-year-old girl, and then dismembered, burned, and dumped the young girl’s body in a septic pond. He also was convicted in state court for using a claw hammer to bludgeon to death an 80-year-old woman who suffered from polio and walked with a cane. On Nov. 5, 2003, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri found Purkey guilty of kidnapping a child resulting in the child’s death, and he was sentenced to death. Purkey’s execution is scheduled to occur on Dec. (date missing from article)

4) Alfred Bourgeois physically and emotionally tortured, sexually molested, and then beat to death his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. On March 16, 2004, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas found Bourgeois guilty of multiple offenses, including murder, and he was sentenced to death. Bourgeois’ execution is scheduled to occur on Jan. 13, 2020.

5) Dustin Lee Honken shot and killed five people—two men who planned to testify against him and a single, working mother and her ten-year-old and six-year-old daughters. On Oct. 14, 2004, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa found Honken guilty of numerous offenses, including five counts of murder during the course of a continuing criminal enterprise, and he was sentenced to death. Honken’s execution is scheduled to occur on Jan. 15, 2020.
Charming bunch.

He put an ad in a newspaper advocating for the death of five niggos that at the time, "allegedly" murdered and raped a woman, it was revealed that said niggos actually dindu nuffin, but DT still thinks otherwise, which is kind of dumb....

The district has 662,060 people - which means they spent (or were given) $24,000 per person in the entire district (which already has a median of $60k). Additionally, this population does include children, so if you adjust for the money largely going to adults (and divide by 496,545 which is the adult pop) this number shoots up to nearly $32,000.

That's enough money to literally put every single individual into the some most expensive apartments in the city for the entire year. Despite being enough money to nearly eliminate crime and homelessness, they still have incredibly bad crime and some level of homelessness.

Is this some kind of money laundering scam that is being uncovered here?

It has to be going somewhere, because it's a frankly shocking pile of cash. This is also in addition to funds the district itself collects and also misappropriates, such as taxing things (Casinos) for schools but then the schools get 0 extra funding (or take cuts).

I feel a big-ass A&H megathread on a Baltimore investigation coming up.

It wasn't out of nowhere. The context was:

Ah, I thought they were referring to something I wrote. You're right. I didn't realize they were referring to the tweet in my very own post. *facepalm*

Apologies to Skyclaw. I done goofed.

You see, I'm not a Democrat. I believe that when you've dug yourself into a hole, it's best to stop digging.
Cool. I'd make a list of people who could use lessons in not doubling down on their fuckups, but oh boy would people spaz when they read the first entry.

It's seriously just a reference to the Central Park Five. It is regularly brought up by, say, Don Lemon.

Basically, in 1989 a Central Park jogger got beaten and raped to within an inch of her life. Five black and Latino boys were caught, and said a whole bunch of shit that indicated they knew details of the attack they shouldn't, and they were subsequently convicted and imprisoned. Trump took out a full-page ad saying he wanted them executed for the attack.

Years later, a sixth Latino inmate in prison claimed he was the sole attacker. His DNA matched what was found on the scene.

His DNA being the only one present in the evidence materials led people to claim all the confessions were coerced, never mind the Five knowing details the police themselves did not know and found out later. It was assumed that the 1989 NYPD used the same DNA gathering techniques they use today, ergo if the DNA wasn't in the evidence they must not have been there. De Blasio, NY mayor, gave them 40 million dollars in 2014. Trump refuses to retract his belief in their guilt.

For context, the rape and attempted murder had taken place during an all-night crime spree in Central Park involving 30-plus "innocent black boys". Meili was not the only victim; there were also seven men and another woman (the woman escaped), of all colors.

It doesn't make their abuses right in the least, but NYPD was under significant pressure to do something about all this, so their excesses were probably driven by an urgency to get a successful conviction on what was a really sensational story. Nobody who wasn't involved could know about this at the time, of course; all anyone had was the public record.

And if the story of an innocent woman being gang-raped and nearly beaten to death doesn't stir a man to at least demand that future offenders be made afraid of the consequences (which was the content of Trump's call for a return of the death penalty)...well, I submit that such a man isn't much of a man.
