Goddamn this fucking case is bullshit.

1) Constant delays by the defendants;
2) Constant almost last minute actions on the part of the defendants;
3) Defendants try to now use a section of federal law to throw out a case which doesn't apply;
4) One of the defendants (Jamie) at least 2 times if I'm not mistaken refuses to show up to a summons;
5) One of the defendants supposed key witnesses (Stan) calls her bullshit out;
6) Defendants and people who sent affidavits likely altered their stories and pretty much went way beyond the pale to paint Vic as so utterly reprehensible that any sane person must ask themselves why the hell did these people not throw the book at this guy years ago;
7) Defendants and other people either mentioned in affidavits corroborating their side of the story or simply cheering for them in the Twitter peanut gallery doing other reprehensible bullshit and not get punished at all for it;
Defendants lied about 100s of women coming forward;
9) Defendants relying on allegations against Vic by people they can't and don't want to even bother authenticating as even making individually each allegation in PULL;
10) Casey supposedly coaching/signalling to Ron to say something to the effect of "I don't recall" or "I don't know" with the constant "object to form" bullshit; and so on and so forth

And this is just the preliminary stage of this circus. You have to be delusional or an amoral person to not see that one side of this case clearly is non-transparent and untrustworthy and probably also disrespectful ultimately to the plaintiff's legal counsel (in particular when Casey bitched about one of the Amazons) and very likely in the near future to the court itself. Fuck these people.

You forgot the discovery abuse the defendants have been pulling, which got to the point that they got dragged into the courthouse for depositions and basically got set up for sanctions if they went through the "depose vic and then immediately file a TCPA" shenanigans they had planned.

I think that Funimation co-opting the affidavits or other information from Ron and Monica has likely screwed them. The judge may have been willing to issue the motion for continuance in the other cases but not grant the one for Funimation, but since Funimation has added several hundreds of pages of evidence that was only received a week prior, their argument about BHBH having over a month to prepare is no longer true.

I think BHBH could show a good faith argument in that they've already submitted the motion to strike for the affidavits included in the Funimation TCPA so it's not a simple case of them stalling for time either.

It is very very common for documents to be filled a hairs breadth from the deadline. It's smart to do so because it gives you the most time possible to make sure everything looks good. Obviously MoRon's TCPA was an autistic kluge that was Frankensteined together and shows the piss-poor stitches putting it together badly. So they FUBAR'd it up but the actual filling timing is nothing to think about except as normal.

Again it is VERY common for those on the same side filling the same type of document to incorporate the arguments and evidence of their co-parties. You want the same defenses as the other guy, so you say "hey! Me too!" It's done all the time in all sorts of cases.

I also agree with you that the way these amendments are coming down and the filing BHBH already made does give the court the knowledge that BHBH is not wanting a postponement merely for delay. It's necessary due to the 1,000 pages of documents.
