exactly. i honestly find this written content more appealing because it's more than one word on a bright pastel picture, it's actual thoughts and feelings of characters written out.

i'm seeing a decent lack of copy+paste! sure the eyes are copy-pasted on all of them, but it seems like the clothes and hair are unique on both sides in every picture (even the pigtails in that second piece). i've got to say, i'm a little impressed, what with the exploration of characters in the literatures and this lack of copy-pasting, perhaps there is a glimmer of hope for tearzah.

it's so confusing to look at
the lines are so thin and the shading is so flat that my eyes can't seem to find where to focus. the colours aren't really helping either, especially paired with that distracting background. the image just seems so visually confusing and a total mess, that is one large cranium too. i feel bad for the commissioner of this piece.

also i just noticed, the hair of the doll(?) thing isn't even shaded. do you double check your art before you post it, tea?

edit: typo, i don't double check my posts apparently

i love how the right eye is just merging in with the eyebrow.
also, sorry if this already asked but, why does tea feel the need to put bushy ass eyebrows in her art, and in some cases, merging with the hair or eyes

Tumblr and its desire to erase anything conventionally attractive or cute and giving it unattractive features. See the pic of ash with leg hair a good 20+ pages ago.

Well drawing something aesthetically pleasing is more challenging and requires you to give half a crap compared to drawing an eldritch abomination with prolapsed anus lips.

It’s clear she had some thought put into the setting, I can appreciate that...even if some of the location names are iffy.

Like how the Sims games shits out a bunch of randomly-generated and extremely awkward looking NPCs, I feel like the rest of Tea’s OCs are really just there to populate the town and make it feel less empty.
They have their own mini stories that don’t really matter to the grand scheme of things, but at least they’re not faceless randos when mentioned?

If that was what she was going for I think it’d be understandable. Too bad all the ethnically ambigious genderspecials begin to meld together.
Also, with everyone in the town being a general weirdo...it kind of dampens the vibe she might be going for, IMO. What I’m trying to say is, if everyone is a special snowfreak then nobody is a special snowfreak. Ironically I’d most like to see a totally normal person having to deal with all the weirdness in her town.

I feel it would be much better if the town did feel empty. Filling everything up with ultra-fashionable 20 year olds conflicts with the themes it seemed like she was trying to present. A few eccentric folks who pop up to provide exposition and dress the set.Only the implication that other people are around, while we're viewing the world through a twisted, lonesome, desaturated lens where few people matter. Perhaps previously relevant people "disappear" when they cease to affect Ash's life. Moments where other citizens appear for a moment, like fleeting phantoms doing completely mundane things to remind the viewer that what we're seeing is not reality.

More than likely she's looking for some way to slot in every insta-inspired drawing she makes into her story somehow to justify their existence but you simply cannot make a story with 360+ characters. It's not going to happen. They're useless clutter. She'd be far better off selling the vast majority of them to her hoard of fans.

Speaking of clowns and circuses: tea, what's up with Augustus's circus? What goes on in there? Are you gonna make a game/VN revolving around it? Does augustus and the gang have an underground drug and exotic pet ring? I need answers since this mysterious circus looks like a pretty good and interesting concept imo.

I remember Augustus's circus had a clown named Silas, but they got sold off. The Magdalene/Venus comic commissioned by Sudrien was one of the best instances of character interaction Tea's ever drawn... and that was a commission.

That's probably one of the most frustrating things about tea, she only focuses so much on ash, and occasionally elliot, fariha, and bailey that she neglects characters/stories who have the possibility of being interesting, hell, maybe even more so than the big 4. There really is nothing more tragic than wasted potential.*sigh*

Edit: by any chance are there any kiwis that know who has silas just out of curiosity.
