Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

Those neozombie make ups looked pretty fine to me. Colorful, nicely even strong bodypaint, cute dress, fail hair fits the look. Not what you see in every Halloween party.

Body hair comment otherhand... First optional and expected aren’t opposed the slightest. In US tipping in restaurants is expected but not mandatory. People aren’t going chase you down or call police if you don’t tip. It’s completely your right not tip but it’s expected enough that there law build around that custom. Most people do find excessive body hair on women fashion don’t and maybe bit gross, that’s it. You can still do it, others are unlikely to even mention it because people are polite like that. You do you but don’t go demanding others to praise what you’re doing if they don’t want to.

That's what I mean, you at first find them fairly reasonable people, even creative, and interesting, then all of a sudden they start going on about trans intersectionalism and you check their facebook and realize its covered in resist trump, punch nazis, trans rights are human rights and lets celebrate poly awareness. And then you are like oh, makeup youtube, pinterest fashion, and repeating what social media told them is all they are.

People who act like being bisexual or polywhatever automatically makes them more woke will forever exhaust me.

I ran into my fair share of intersectional types in college but the one that stood out to me was a guy in an EMT course I took. I pegged him for a quiet chubby autist nerd type at first glance but once he started talking he pretty much constantly brought up genderspecial nonsense. He was already getting pretty low-key offended at one of the first chapters we were studying (about human anatomy no less) and a innocuous joke the instructor made but was too quiet and timid to really get vocal about it. He ended up dropping the class right after the refund date saying he didn't want to work in the medical field because it assumed human gender was binary. He didn't seem particularly obnoxious personally but it's just as well, he'd never have lasted in a room of firefighters without getting triggered out of existence.

Can't say that I met any tumblerista offline, and I hope it stays that way. the closest to one was my faminist aunt who threw a hissyfit when I embarassed her by posting a study that made her claims look stupid, and then posted another one that was well within her goalpost shifting, and couldn't goalpost shift anymore without looking like a twat.

I once had a friend that went on a rant about how adult consensual incest was going to be the next big civil rights movement. she was also very much into rad feminism and some other sjw stuff.

But when anyone else says it, it's the "slippery slope fallacy" and also hatey-hate-hating by haters (who are full of hate).

A week is plenty of time to avoid charges of double-posting...

There was a conversation going on in a tabletop-related forum wherein someone mentioned she was the variety of adultery fetishist known as "polyamorous". Male Feminist jumped into the conversation and began talking about how it's "a valid sexuality" and "you should be out and proud" and "I will never judge you."

This same fellow organized a gay-themed event every single day of Pride Month, despite allegedly being straight, and despite never organizing events any other time.

He takes too keen an interest in the sex lives of others, is what I'm saying, and is breathtakingly smug and self-righteous about it to boot.

Seems to be a vicarious thing for some people. Like, they're too introverted to be open about thier own identities so they have to champion other people's. Doesn't even matter if they're straight or closeted or genderspecial or whatever, its like their entire personality is just being a permanent cheerleader. I hate the human race.

I know art education is where you'd expect to find these folks, but what always boils my eggs is people who think it's appropriate during critique to criticize you for including white people.

I did several pieces that tell a narrative and because I'm a faggot, I included a pretty diverse range of characters. Each time a certain white male appeared, even though he was always with a black character, about 1 to 3 women would say I should get rid of him or make him mexican or black because there were a lot of narrative clues that he'd spent time in prison. Yeah, I know.

Unfortunately most of these interactions were in person, but one classmate did feel the need to comment on a piece, so I have some evidence.

The peak was when I did a piece of a eunuch and a frequent offender spoke up and criticized me for "glorifying genital mutilation" and then soap boxed for 5 minutes during my 10 to 15 min portfolio critique about how none of her characters were circumcised and I was a bad person for having a eunuch and portraying him as clearly male and cis and not some genderspecial.

I'm not even going to go into how mad these people get when I draw a skinny attractive woman with tits, especially a white woman with a black male.

I have an SJW brother I'm extremely close to just washing my hands of completely and cutting out of my life. He fits pretty much every check mark, but I'll run down a few...

ANTIFA supporter, also loves the IRA. We're not Irish. Claims to be a socialist and a communist and an anarchist depending on how he's feeling that day.

Che Guevera supporter, yet if you point out Guevera executed gays and blacks regularly, he calls it fake news.

Hates my best friend because he's English, and the English are "imperialist swine."

Islam apologist, but loathes Christians and Jews.

Hates it if anyone enjoys any media created by someone in the past who may have had bigoted views (Lovecraft is his big one) equates those who enjoy his work to being racist as well. Like Norse mythology? You'll get called a Neo Nazi. But his favorite rapper is Eminem, who uses the word 'faggot' like it's going out of style. The hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Gets his toddler daughter who doesn't know any better to yell "fuck the pigs!" and "death to cops!" Yelled at his girlfriend's mom for buying the toddler a doll for Christmas because it was "enforcing gender stereotypes"

Spent this fourth of July burning a flag in a Walmart parking lot.

I could go on and on. What pisses me off the most is he is completely surrounded by enablers who make constant excuses for his behavior and feed into it.

But you're the racist one, I'm sure.

Yeah, I got called racist a lot and even by another professor (a lit one, not an art one) because my characters weren't "racially coded" or something like that. But when they did follow a stereotype like a mexican criminal or a quiet subservient chinese woman, that was also racist. Drawing gay men is bad because if you make them feminine, that's homophobic, but making them masculine is "straight washing". Having heterosexual white girls tell you, a poc gay man, that is a trip. Lesbians are also a no-no, because it's fetishizing them. Straights are bad for obvious reasons. Having no sexuality is also bad, because everyone is assumed straight. Trans people are either caricatures or "cis coded/washed" so you can't win with them either. You learn pretty quickly that there's no winning with these people and all you can do is smile and nod while they unironically treat your art like it's a ministrel show.

Sorry about the essays. My salt mines run deep.

Have you read the YABookgate thread? 50-50 on whether it will spike your blood pressure to see the exact same thing in professional settings, or feel karma at the oroborous eating the people judging others.

Edit: that was weird. This doubleposted, I deleted one which deleted both. I got nothing.

Oh, as long as you dredge up some good-quality salt, it's not to worry, I think.

Which, on their part, is intensely disrespectful, both of art and artist. But then again, respect demands that you think other people are people...

Me and my bestie saw a chick today wearing a shirt with "Less gender roles, more sushi rolls" on it (she was ok-looking otherwise, with a terminal resting bitch face, tho) - I wonder if she realises how dumb it is to wear this in fucking Russia (then again, local sjws also wear those obnoxious NASA logo shirts, so...).

Could you tell if she was from somewhere west like the UK or USA? I've never been to the Motherland, but I'm assuming types like that aren't endemic to the area.

Nah, she was local - or, specifically, from asian part of the country, or mixed, she had that "a korean somewhere in immediate ancestry except not" look they have.
And oh, we do have SJWs, they mostly do crap online (partially took over a site I liked T_T) and 50% of what they spew are translations of shit american SJWs say - without even thinking it doesn't apply to life here...but they exist. Especially here in Moscw.
