i am not telling you what it is like there. hence my questions. my only point is that my country has a lot of western traits. if it were eastern i'd get a wife. none of my friends have any either and all of them are in mid 20s. their fathers and grandfathers already had kids at our age.

Haha yeah about that... I can't speak for all eastern cultures, but you'd have no chance with a Viet girl. The families want their daughters to marry guys with a multitude of things you don't have. They're strict and it's about making nice with the family just as much as the girl. If the family doesn't like you, you're out.

Yeah, that shit does not fucking fly with them. It's much more than material. For a point of reference, I first met her Dad when I was 19.
