I'll be seeing more of his films, but so far I've only seen Mulholland Drive (which I liked), Inland Empire (which was :/ ), and half of Eraserhead because he's such a cunt that he refused to allow chapter selections on his DVD. It's really off-putting and unadmirable how little respect he has for the different ways one might want to enjoy his films. He's quoted in interviews saying he doesn't believe someone can have watched a movie if they watched it on their phone. That's bullshit. Obviously you're going to get the best experience in a theatre, but that's a ridiculous thing to claim. I watched Eraserhead as I was going to bed when I was about 16 years old, stopped the movie halfway through because I was tired and wanted to experience the movie with an alert and attentive mind (something you'd think he'd want people to do). In the morning, I tried to skip chapters but the DVD was all one chapter. I did some research and found out that David Lynch refused to include chapter selection on that DVD along with other films from him. I didn't feel like fast-forwarding the whole way through so I returned the rental and have had a bad taste in my mouth ever since. I'm sure the guy would prevent people from pausing and taking piss breaks if he could. I don't hate him because he's untalented. I hate him because he's a pretentious ass that apparently would rather have me not watch his movie than watch it the way I want to.
