Don't know about everyone in particular, but studyguy stopped because he got a great real life job that he studied hard for (ironic when you consider his username) and Feargingers went off to be a family man but allegedly died in 2017 (I can't confirm it, but whenever that question comes up you'll never get an answer from the streamers). When the official Vinesauce channel split (that everyone used to stream on), Joel and Vinny were the first to go separate ways while the others were still streaming in it. As far as I remember, that's also when DireBoar became the web developer for the official Vinesauce site since he got the least views at the time and had to make money some way so Vinny wanted to keep him around as the dev guy.

Also, how the fuck did people willingly give their money to this fuckhead? Like Jesus Christ, GeePM screams scamming NEET with a punchable face from a 5000 mile distance.

I get it's his passion, plays music for brb segments and art as well as his own band, but I swear it's like he tries to discuss it every chance he gets as some sort of coping mechanism from dealing with the constant barrage of idiocy from his zoomer viewers. At this point I sometimes feel like I'm a kindergarten child for watching Vinesauce, especially when Joel's doing the art segment and telling everyone "awww, I like it!/Wow, great!/That's so cute!" – it's like both of them sold their souls, sometimes seeing the state they're in makes me want to quit watching the streams since even the content is now suffering at times. But then Joel/Vinny will do some stupid shit that'll remind me of the old days and I'm right back, regretting my decision later. It's weird, but it feels like losing an old friend.

And given how adamant Vinny is at showing disapproval over subbing and bits he's clearly doing fine (unless it's a reverse psychology trick to gain humility points and make people want to sub anyway). Yeah, I got that metaphor but it felt worth mentioning since it can be worrying at times. You know, Vinny's quite the troubled heartbroken man we all know and love, so him being addicted to certain things and now having a constant cashflow could do more harm than good at times.

I know exactly what you're talking about, it's what makes me come back to his streams too. But I'm afraid that it'll all be gone at some point, unless he has a retirement fund or something and decides to fuck off in 5-10 years and go the Johnny Cash route musically.

I love that every Joel video has at least one comment on the YT reupload complaining about chat being "toxic" or some shit. It's like when people on ResetEra complain about the mods being too lenient or the place being too lax on "nazis".

I watch the streams live semi often, or at least when I have time I wouldn't say they're overtly "toxic", just really hyper and off focus. A lot of one-word messages, endless meme spouting. There can be one or two bad eggs who feel entitled or are out for blood.

Well, we can't say for certain, but I personally believe that that is the case. If memory serves, Vappy lost his role as primary editor/Fullsauce uploader, and Vinny now has someone else handling Fullsauce (who is apparently anonymous, since I keep seeing people refer to them as John Fullsauce). It wouldn't surprise me if that was closely related to Vappy overstepping by putting Vinny in the NSFW commission.

But according to some old users (like drkojak? i don't remember the nickname properly, so I'm sorry if I'm calling the wrong person) told me she was making that up because she was angry because people were still using something that wasn't under their direct control. Which turned up to be true, at least the last part. But nobody ever debunked if it was shikaku or not.

I can tell you as someone who used to hang out back in the days of Chatango that Shikaku was a real fucking creep. He used to bug the shit out of several girls for nudes and shit and then whenever it hit the fan, he'd blow them up, talking about wanting to off himself or that they should until he gets blocked. He would then bug other people in chat to send a message to said girl for him since he was blocked. The shit used to happen so often, usually behind the scenes during off times when streams weren't going. From what I can recall with the dono money, it's specifically Shikaku took the money and ran for like some shit he wanted to buy and lied to everyone about it. It took years for all his shit to finally catch up to him about most of the bullshit he did. I've been watching Vinesauce on and off for around 9 years or so give or take but I was only starting to get active in the chat community around 2011-2012.

Also going back to Jen, I used to be a really close friend to her but kind of drifted apart from her after seeing what kind of person she was. She's got problems, more then I could list but isn't necessarily a terrible person, just someone whose mentally and possibly physically too retarded to take care of herself. She used to date some dude who was well known in the community whose name escapes me at the moment but from what I heard, he was basically supporting her mentally and physically because she literally couldn't do shit on her own. After they broke up, I remember she latched onto any guy who was nice to her but wasn't creepy either, I didn't think ahead to take any screengrabs at the time but I remember she like broke down to me in text message since we lived close enough to keep in touch about how she'd never find a guy because she's "undateable" and all this other shit. She's definitely a trainwreck emotionally to say the least.

I can't speak for the other streamers, but I wouldn't say that Vinny and Joel are lolcows and it's hard to blame them from not wanting to deal with the stress of fostering a community. They just want to entertain people and stream games.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that either one of them has true cow potential; they're both far too under-the-radar and shockingly good at keeping their personal business out of the public eye to really become lolcow material. Something absolutely insane would have to leak for them to reach cow status.

The other streamers, on the other hand, aren't quite so squeaky clean. They have none of the status but all of the sloppiness of a good lolcow. Fred and GeePM in particular seem at high risk for cow activity. I plan to keep an eye on that in the coming days.
