It's like these people are completely oblivious to how people in the real world operate or what the workload of a judge is actually like. It may look like they just sit there in a robe being pompous for a couple hours every day and then pick one of two parties and then fuck up their lives and bankrupt them, or tell 12 other people to make that decision.

But in reality, judges, especially non-senior judges in the early part of their judicial career (which Judge Chupp is) work lots of hours, often on incredibly dull cases, where they're routinely showered with absurd amounts of paperwork they have to consider, much of it absolutely useless to them, and only by maintaining a fairly strict schedule can this be done practically without inconveniencing both their own staff and all the other parties before the court.

So when some party gets out of hand and is dumping literally thousands of pages of trash on the other side in the course of a week, and it's absolutely obvious garbage like this crap Lemonhead submitted, printed sideways, unreadable, with the OCR done with the pages upside down so it can't even be searched in the PDF form, you've just thrown hundreds of man-hours of work on the court, too.

This means your docket, that you've spent so much time keeping tight and well functioning, gets thrown out of joint and not just you, not just your staff, not just the other parties, but all the other parties before the court suffer to a greater or lesser degree, whether they know about it or not.

Believe it or not (law Twitter doesn't seem to), fucking up someone's work routine because of annoying fuckery doesn't endear you to them.

Now, judges are some of the most patient and professional people in the world, but if you have pulled this kind of stunt not once, not twice, but every single time you've interacted with the judge, and he has one of those well-nigh unappealable "discretionary" decisions a trial court has, just don't expect them to go your way unless they're no-brainers. You're going to get the same consideration and slack you cut the other side and the court and judge themselves.

What amazes me is that J Sean and Casery Erick seem to have forgotten this detail themselves. Law twitter as well should know this, especially the dickhead with the CPAP machine who ran on a campaign of Justice Reform. It's not a secret that judges are under a lot of strain to get through proceedings, you would think practicing attorneys who are involved with the justice system would be more than aware of the admin issues and tough schedules that judges have and not try to piss off the guy who gets to decide on your case. This is one case out of several that Chupp has to deal with, and bullshitting around with TCPA and discovery isn't going to help their case.

Edit - Just look at his docket. He has so many active cases to keep track off, and this one case, the only one in the hearing stage, is pulling all sorts of garbage. How are these attorneys blind to how this will play out?

The ANN article says that they attempted to contact her, but she didn't wish to make any comment. Take that as you will; they could easily have asked her 15 minutes before hitting publish on the article.

As to the attorneys, I have to assume both sides have at least made an effort, but either she doesn't wish to make a statement, she's made a statement for BHBH and they're going to include it in a later filing, or there's some other shenanigans going on.

I mean, it seems that way. The judge at least needs cliffnotes on this shit to see if everything is fair, and honestly the judges seem to need to work faster than the attorneys to get their points in order.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if she decided to just "nope" out of the situation altogether. It's like I and a few others mentioned when discussing whether certain other VAs would get involved. If she comes out against Vic, she's potentially exposed as a liar. If she comes out in support of him, than KickVic won't hesitate to ruin her. It's a no-win situation. There's a reason so many people on both sides wouldn't come out unless outed by a third party.

Two, he's so disgusted/annoyed with certain parties (you get 3 guesses as to which party, and the first 2 don't count) he wants nothing to do with this case and refuses to think of it on his off hours.

Either way, it's not looking good for the defendants. They really, REALLY need to cut off MoRon, they are single handedly ruining ANY good will the Judge might have for them.
