I think we all agree that the no-waifu-content rule DSP pulled out of his ass all of a sudden is mind-bogglingly dumb and extremely childish, but I'm willing to take it a step further and say that, from a professional point of view, he's actually fucking over his audience, thus fucking over himself (as usual).

He says he doesn't "need it (anymore)", which would mean that if he did decide to dive into waifu content, it wouldn't affect him. He's a grown man and happily married after all, right? Well, then what exactly is the reason for denying your viewers content intended by game developers to be consumed and experienced? And with viewers I mean the people who throw money at him so he can keep paying his 2nd mortgage and play through content created by said developers. It's part of the game, it's in there for a reason. You're hurting the experience people are paying you for, even if that experience is as shallow as "lolol, look at the bouncy bewbs!" You can at least have a laugh about it and be done with it, and no one would think anything of it.

But what he's doing now, is basically giving (random) viewers an excuse to possibly stop contributing. I mean, he's in no position whatsoever to actively ignore segments of a game people might be looking forward to seeing him play. If he'd still be making the big bucks on Youtube, sure, why the hell not? But the the Mister Twitch DSP from 2019? No way.

I think what he's doing in this regard is so dumb from both a general/social and professional point of view, that I'm having issues with finding words to correctly explain how I feel about this, but I hope it made sense anyway. *sigh*

Yes, Phil has a wife so he doesn't need to virtually date video game women.

But how many of his viewers have wives? Phil is not a children's entertainer. He plays totally serious full adult games like Donkey Kong, Crash Bandicoot, and Super Mario. His viewers don't want to see sexy ladies, they want to watch chill Minecraft fishing.

Phil knows his audience. It's not like almost every hardcore fan of his who gets doxed has some degenerate sexual fetish. Saru's futa boxing obsession, Sidella's twitter stalking of underage girls, Lutherkujo and his gay furry F-list, Swaggins and his Twitch thot ASMR, etc.

I believe he claimed the same with his taxes, way back when. He claimed he has some problems and people didn't guess even though one of the first guesses were taxes.

DSP just claimed that August will be slow because no games come out for four whole weeks.

Also, DSP is projecting his own personality on his audience again. Apparently people get "bored" if they play the same video game three days in a row.

DSP is going to play GTA 4 without music on soon since "Youtube muting the music will ruin the playthrough." Youtube is just an archive everyone.

DSP won't play Ultimate Team because microtransactions "ruined the franchise". Good to know.

Edit: DSP is desparately trying to turn off the music because it offends his boomer sensibilities.

Double Edit: DSP's hair in this game is called "short receding messy". And again, he has to create himself in the create-a-player.

Triple Edit: DSP called his avatar a "fucking idiot" because DSP is trying to change the eyes and the avatar keeps rotating between side views and front views.

Quadruple Edit: Oh my Dog, every time DSP is faced with a decision he immediately begs chat to tell him an answer (he's being interactive) and then blames chat for "not being able to decide."

Ok, it was funny that DSP got to the "name your character", asked chat, literally nearly the entire chat spammed "Richard", DSP didn't even acknowledge it, and then named his character Phillip. But he used two L's "to be stupid".

Edit: DSP literally could not recognize Patrick Mahomes and asked who the "random guy" was.

Double Edit: One play in, and DSP is already referring to his team as "they" because of a 15 yard pass completion on defense.

Triple Edit: This is already painful to watch. DSP is lucky this game appears to be on easy mode.

Quadruple Edit: DSP actually paused the game to justify why he just gave up a touchdown on defense (the "game changed his guy" and he didn't want to cover a receiver; he wanted to be a lineman.)

Quintuple Edit: DSP actually paused the game to complain that the announcers said the game "wasn't totally over" when he scored to go up 2 TDs in 30 seconds.

If I recall, the semantics he used when he was specifically called out for lying and saying it wasn't taxes was that people had said it was a tax issue with the IRS, or a problem with his federal taxes. But because it was actually state taxes, Phil said they were wrong and he therefore wasn't lying.

He can't even play semantics on this one. He specifically said there would not be a wedding on the trip, he specifically said that they were not ready to do a wedding and couldn't afford it, and he specifically said that it would be a small ceremony near home and that Kat's friends would be invited to attend. Those were all lies, and almost all were said in some form a week before he left for the trip. In Phil's mind, he was being sneaky and lying by omission, but part of the problem is that when he lies by omission, he gets insecure and starts to pile on unnecessary details to cover the omission, and in doing so ends up lying his ass off.

Anyway, by this same criteria, he is still possibly 'lying by omission' about Kat being pregnant. Congrats, on the bundle of joy Phil. I would suggest a donation goal for a paternity test.
