And then I heard a few more stories and saw that blog, but it was never something I thought too much about and it never stopped me from watching dubs with him in it.

Like I daid I think at the very worst he just got a little too handsy with some people and might not follow his religion 100% if hes fooling around out of wedlock. I'm just hoping that if it turns out to all be bullshit that it's just a small handful of ladies that have been spreading these rumors and not hundreds.

You've heard it goes back further because when the creeper accusations dropped hardcore into the public eye (circa 2014, for the Rin Matsuoka dubbing outrage) they claimed that the accusations went back 'over a decade'. It was a lie, like them saying 'his accusations go back DECADES' now. In reality, if we give maximum leniency, the rumors of his creeper behavior started in 2009 basically immediately after he started smacktalking yaoi. It didn't really escape containment until some time after Tekkoshow 2010, though (and took until '12-'13 to become 'known' online).

I'm guessing you're not super familiar with fujoshi communities, or possibly with the fujoshi side of cosplay? One of the earliest accusations I found about Vic attacking women came from AMV.org where a user told a story very like Jennifer's affidavit and said 'this happened to our AMV coordinator'. (Jennifer was AMV coordinator). Just consider them a huge gossip machine, because that's basically what they are. Gossipy little girls who share stories about someone they all dislike because he's anti-yaoi and therefore a homophobe, thus obviously guilty of all the stories they make up and/or worthy of any harassment and ill-will they direct at him.

It may be too late to stop things completely now, but before 2019 if Vic had suddenly embraced yaoi I can pretty much guarantee most if not all of the rumors would just suddenly dry up. He might still have a reputation for being demanding at cons (as it's one of the only truths to the rumors), but all the 'he's so horrible he must be stopped' would vanish. Like magic. And if you don't believe me, consider the fact that up to 2009 he was much more lenient about yaoi baiting lines, like "Colonel Mustang is dead sexy...in a miniskirt!" and "Back off, the Colonel's mine!" (and even more lenient pre-2006, as he'd yet to get tired of it). His personality didn't change in any other way, but as soon as he started resisting the yaoi the rumors about angry outbursts started appearing.

So in short it is planned, insomuch as fujos deciding to 'cancel' someone can be planned, and he did piss off most of those women individually by not wanting to sign their yaoi crap. There's no credible evidence anywhere that he ever got inappropriately handsy with anyone (consensually handsy with adults in private or semi-private, sure, but that isn't an issue) there's only evidence that he cheated on his fiancee. In a community that likes furry NTR I don't see why him cheating means anything more than that. Funimation is different. That's professional jealousy using the rumors to destroy him and hoping no one checks their receipts.
