The problem with trying to prejudice the jury is that their little spin doctoring can't win when it's time for the jury to look at all the presented evidence. Their position relies on the jury not looking at the evidence, and they can do nothing to stop Ty from showing the jury extensive evidence. Watching Nick's stream is not necessary for a jury to switch from sympathetic to disdainful of the defendants.

Fine cosplay, poor execution. Maybe it's the camera position, but the back arch and non-smile throws everything off regardless.

...is that child adopted? Is he the stepfather?

What the hell is this man even saying? Even if Vic had just left the anime industry, anybody who would have searched up his name would see this following him, and he would suffer either way.

And does he not think that Vic expected this to be public? Doesn't he think this was what he wanted? He wanted to clear his name of things he didn't do, so he sought a public audience in the court, which would make decisions that would be a part of public discourse.

It's not just about the jury. It's about damaging this man's reputation as much as humanly possible before they have to pay what they owe.

Wonder how many normies are gonna look up nicks youtube now

If you're asking how many people are going to look up Nick's Youtube channel because of this coordinated hit piece, then the answer is zero. Normies don't read newspapers. It's a dead media. That's why they only hire shitty writers, ethical voids and hyperventilating shrieking harpies to make clickbait. And they pay them peanuts, Because they can't afford to pay actual talent or investigators, so they hire hacks who write trash to desperately try to get attention, or just parrot what they are told regardless of accuracy, which further ruins their credibility, loses them money in the long run, and self-perpetuates itself in a terrible negative feedback loop.

How much do you want to bet Lemon Party set this up as an attempted to gain these cunts general public sympathy since they've pretty much ran the well dry on social media by being massive thunder cunts?
The social media well isn't dry simply due to the actions of the defendants (tho this helps enormously).

Let's be real here, a bunch of smaller youtubers made a few videos, then Nick Rekieta picked up on it and has been streaming about 80% of his time on this case. Not trying to suck up to either side, but Nick is an effective and credible source, the damage he has been doing to all the defendants in this case cannot be discounted. Vic has made huge inroads in 'social media reputation' due to:
a) the fact that it appears he's actually nice
b) Nick hammering facts almost nightly
c) defense hiring exceptional representation (likely defendants making these choices)
d) KiwiFarms looking into accusations and disproving/discrediting various pieces

When I first heard of these accusations, I was thinking bah another handsy guy, screw him. Then pedo accusations floated by and that caused me to start digging, I rapidly switched to pro-Vic side (though this can and WILL change at actual evidence appearing).

I believe many KF people also feel this way as many on the boards seem to have gone from lets laugh at the cows to "I hate these people".

Defendants should be wary of further pissing off the farms as going against weaponized autism is not a good idea ever.

Anyway, here is the article:

Hmm..... I wonder why she was the one to write this story.
Belo Inc. is a left leaning media giant. The Dallas Morning News and WFAA will find the left spin in a picnic.

The Dallas Observer while also being liberal, will cover a case by deep drilling into it and love to expose corruption, especially in city politics and business.

I wouldn't want to invite any more attention on this but it would be interesting to see the contrast.

Not sure if anybody will go to seek Nick, let alone sit through the entire streams. But if current year Internet or my time watching RWBY taught me anything, people will automatically write off anybody that challenges their hugbox and/or uses bad words and/or dishes out legit criticism.

I'm betting that this guy is thinking that a #MeToo industry purge will give anime the respect they think it deserves since Spirited Away won an Oscar. No more will anime just be schoolgirls and tentacles, they say!

It's not just about the jury. It's about damaging this man's reputation as much as humanly possible before they have to pay what they owe.
And they're doing a great job at that. And they're hoping shit like this article helps them get away scot free. Not sure what their scene is like, but I'm feeling if word gets around, then there may be a purge incoming or there's more alleged Sabat esque kingpins. And that's just Funimation! Who knows if other studios have shit like this?

They gotta stick to the narrative.

Though doubly so here because ESA is pretty brutal if you cross them. You note Kotaku isn't on the list. That's because they made too many industry enemies. Nobody wants to be first in line to call the ESA out for their weak-ass security.

Anyways, I don't want to side track this thread, but it's really a bit of a crossover. It's obvious to me she thinks that further desemination the dox will invoke the ire of those doxed, and she can have revenge on the KF weebwars crew.

That's a bold move to say the least.

Lol, not really. We call them "cow crossovers" and they happen all the damn time. Samuel Collingwood Smith was perhaps the most famous of this with his autistic legion of doom which he created then had to flee from when their illegal attempts to shut the farms got more and more whacky..

The Rat King is another, where they all slowly dragged themselves in.

It's part of the Dallas Morning News, which is the main newspaper of Dallas.

Still, the article does get some of Vic's testimony, but messes up other things...
-Doesn't mention hanleia's pedo tweet, which REALLY kicked things off, not the 'rude homophobe' tweet
-Mentions Marachi's tweet, but skips the line about head and balls..hmm..
-"Mignogna acknowledged in his deposition that people have commented negatively for years about his behavior. "
(wtf is this, this is worded so deceptively)
-Cherrypicks Nick's quote to make him look terrible

Just read it, and see that it's only a couple steps above ANN's articles, which really tells you about the state of journalism if this
Pulitzer prize winning journalist in a large city newspaper did this.
EDIT: Sorry, Pulitzer Prize FINALIST, which is somewhat of a relief

Because they don't want to drag the Dallas Morning News into the lawsuit as well. Respect for Journalists is around the same level as most people think of politicians right now.

The result would be a shrug from people and as others have pointed out. It's another, pisspoor leftie rag who's circulation has begun to tank like a lot of other "newspapers" who got the idiot bug bit into them.
