Oh they will. Mark my word on that. BUT it won't end up playing out well for them when they do.
Actually this might boost Vic GFM even more.

That means that Funimation has followed them only recently, probably today or yesterday.
Who is in control of their account?

So, it turns out that Lemoine was the one that reached out to Dallas News to have the story covered. In the article it shows that they had interviews with Marchi's lawyer and took a glamor shot of Lemoine at their office.

The article uses his verbiage, and even tries to paint Nick as saying the lawsuit is for "grinding these women into dust".

WHEW LAD.

I can't wait til Judge Chupp sees that Lemoine ran to the media to poison the jury well :story:
Lemoine contacted them to run the article, he's so assblasted that he's going to lose the TCPA he's trying to broadcast the case to potential jurors

Their readership is not nearly enough to influence a jury pool in a county that size. Going to the media was honestly one of their last good remaining plays and they made it. It's possible that by generating buzz they have some cheap ammo for the public figure argument, especially if this catches on mainstream.

But for God's sake, let's be honest; what's the worst thing that these women were willing to admit under oath that Vic did to them? Prolonged unwanted physical contact? All of which Vic denies, by the way, and hasn't even been settled yet as a matter of legal fact. And they're trying to hold themselves out as fucking MeToo martyrs for that? It's beyond fucking insulting, and anyone with half a goddamn brain had better be able to see that.

They deserve every bit of what's coming to them, more so now than ever. Because even in a world where their own exact word is true (which is still worth doubting), they're equating a few minor interactions with rape and assault, two things they accused Vic of blatantly, on top of all the lies and backstabbing they tacked on to it. The only explanations at this point is either they're complete sociopaths or they've otherwise bought into this self-centered delusion that they're doing something important. They need a wakeup call; preferably one with a seven-figure price tag.

And holy hell if ANN wasn't for sure in round two of lawsuits before, those fuckers sure are now.

The GFM is dead in the water, donations stalled after the mass refund gay op.
People are probably waiting for confirmation that the review is done. I'd expect it to pick up again if some tangible progress occurs like clearing TCPA hurdles, but that's a month away.

You are underestimating the power of propaganda. Rule #1 - never underestimate your opposition.

They carefully crafted this article so that the lay-person reading it, and the casual observer will equate Vic Mignona with the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby.

People will already have prejudice because of the cases that have already been settled in the MeToo court.

That is not by accident. This is a flagrant attempt to poison public opinion and only showcase the negative aspect and opinion of the case, favorably for the defense.

If you brush it off, you risk that your jury pool will have at least 1 person who is biased against the plaintiff and that can/will change the complexion of the entire panel.

Funny how they use "glamshots" for the two fatties and the disease ridden Lemonführer, while using a pic for Vic where he looks tired. Someonebody should write a 180 ° "warped" article, with Monica using a hateful micro expression, Jamie sucking on that dildothing and Lemonie with some additional cysts on his forehead and a Nazi uniform.

He's been memed on by Nick, KF, and Vic's autistic fanbase so hard that I can buy him defending Rial and her pet tofu pro-bono.

imagine working for a firm and doing extensive side work for free on a case so ludicrous that it makes your employer look as though the employ imbeciles as a matter of policy. I wonder how long Wick and Phillips will permit that.

I just realized that the only reference to Ron even existing in the article, outside of when they're saying the last names of those being sued, is them (pretty much) saying he was trying to defame Vic. :story:

Hes such a side kick in all this yet hes probably gonna have the largest debt afterwards. Oh to be a cuck in 2019.
Lemoine has been pushing the whole "Vic is suing wahmen" thing since the depositions, they just gloss over the fact he's suing Ron and FUNimation constantly in the hopes that no one bothers to look it up.

They're at least mentioned first in the who is he suing list. Rons always dead last.

also they really should take notes from their superiors.
Funimation, owned by Sony Pictures Television, declined to speak about the defamation lawsuit, saying it does not comment on pending litigation.

That's all they had to do. But of course, that's assuming the publication reached out to Lemoine and Marchi's lawyer... but it seems very clear now that Lemoine did the reaching this time

It's also very telling.

This is how Marchi, Monica and Toye want to spend their extension of time granted by Ty's request. After Law Twitter was crowing about "Don't they know that gives the defense extra time toooooooo?"

They choose, instead of building more firm defenses, to run to the media to further defame the plaintiff under the discovery stay of the TCPA just like Ty told Chupp they were going to do

You are absolutely right. However I would also point out that there is a growing backlash to the #metoo situation. So while there are people like Wineswine that people hate, there are ALSO people like Johnny Depp that are on the public's radar. It's no longer just the Rosie McGowan days where listen and believe was the unquestioned standard.
