color me surprised, the chick who wrote the article follows douchebag, yet suspiciously no one else involved in the case as far as i can see

You think the fact that this story reached news is a tripartite effort between Doucette, Rial, and Marchi?

It could just be because on her post about the article he fuckin spammed it with every video clip imaginable, so she was like oh this faggots got info better follow him. No idea how old the follow is.

One can extrapolate the "why now?" question. Dreg has been covering this for months so, why is it that it's getting a news article now when it seems very clear that the TCPA is in danger of failing and trial court is set to begin with a jury trial.

Why would it be important to let residents of Tarrant County know about this Vic Mignona case in a negative light?

Also is it smart for defendants to even do this? It's more fuel to the fire it seems.

Douchette already hinted that they're going to "gather more affidavits", which to me... is just more frivolous affidavits. You would think you lead with your strongest evidence, and if your strongest evidence are a bunch of sperging cows, then I can't imagine what your backup will be.

Like, does Doucette not realize that if Lemoine files more frivolous documents for the purpose to draining Vic's legal funds he is going to be at incredible risk for sanctions, and could up to/including lose to the case outright without chance for appeal?

In line with Ty's rant last night, I can't imagine that someone who went through the dregs of legal schooling, came out of it with letters after his name and would be so fucking stupid as to listen to a morally and financially corrupt sperg on Law Twitter, and risk an ethical violation, and his license to practice law.

On a scale of 1 to Fedora, how mad is Lemoine right now?

I just keep wondering who’s driving this exceptional bus?

A rational person would say they have X amount of money they can spend on a lawsuit before they’re fucked financially. Based on their actions they clearly care more about destroying Vic than their own potential financial ruin.

Are they getting rolled by their lawyers who may not be getting paid or are they collectively coming up with stupid expensive plans? Are the lawyers so personally assblasted about Nick they’re willing to risk sanctions on top not getting paid? It would seem so.

If money is a primary concern, A sane person would immediately file a TCPA and if that doesn’t work consider settling.

Don’t hire three lawyers, consider bad advice from some popehat dong huffer, and then go off on expensive tangents like deposing Nick or multiple frivolous filings.

Surely this is just a coincidence. Out of all the news outlets. Granted it was a largely heard case.

Mark my words, they're doing it to ensure the jury pool is biased so they will have to move the trial to a different county. This is a calculated move, and I'm not sure if it's subject to sanctions but it REEKS of desperation

I'm even going to give Egg Head Doucette a pass here because he's in NC. Going with Occam's Razor, here... The defendants are in Texas, in Dallas even. They have more means, ability and reason to contact this reporter/publication.

So while they can cry that Greg did it independently... It's more likely the defendants did it and that's what causes my spidey-sense to tingle

Adding this:

OOPS...

Looks like it may have been Lemoine that initiated contact... the article is using his verbiage:

And he even apparently WENT INTO THEIR OFFICE for an interview and glamor shot

Yeah this is 100% Marchie/Monica doing. They are gonna push hard for the strong abused women angle. Speaking out for those without a voice and all that garbage.
Get a shitty picture of Vic, try to make Monica and marchie looks as good as possible (a very hard task since they look like 2 fat cunts even with a pro photoshoot).

Greg's only saying this because he's too poor to be welcomed to the party, you know.

And part of defamation is that people actually, you know... believe that the person speaking is reputable and telling the truth

Which by now, if anyone believes Greg is anything but a raving internet troll account, they probably deserve a trip to a padded apartment

Ty said it would be really terrible if law firms found out their associates spent their days on twitter libeling other lawyers. But I think Ty's wrong. I haven't seen a single one yet that is actually working at a law firm.

Akiva Cohen works for relatively well regarded IP firm Kamerman, Uncyk, Soniker & Klein.

Idiots are commenting on how this elevates him to "public figure."

Funny, I don't remember news stories traveling back in time and retroactively making someone a public figure at the time of the defamation. I suppose there's a reason we call them idiots, though.

Could FUNi sue Douchette despite him having less money than ArmzGurl? Because I doubt FUNi would get anything of value after bleeding Oberlin college levels of dosh.

I mean, if I was defense's counsel... I'd be sending Douchette a C&D. All he is doing is making more of a mountain that the defense needs to climb

Remember when Nick said the Manjaw affidavit could create issues , as she continues to Defame/TI on twitter.
They have linked the #spednaught in the TCPA and Low T Greg is now defaming the same way

So it could perhaps create issues for #spednaught in their TCPA ?
